Greetings .510 Wells Express,
Khomas Highland Hunting & Fishing Safaris of Namibia, Welcomes you to the greatest forum on earth.
I live in Alaska, USA however a family DNA search indicates that I am Scandinavian.
Mine is approximately 75% Norway, Sweden, Denmark and approximately 25% combined from other very well known Viking ports-o-call —> coastal Finland, coastal Wales, coastal Scotland, coastal Ireland and coastal Holland.
Hopefully one of these years I can visit the land of my ancestors.
Your interest in large bore rifles sounds like fun.
The rifle in my avatar was an Army & Navy double in caliber .450 No2 Nitro Express.
I shot the buffalo with it, using the good old “1-2 Punch” method (a left barrel 480 grain soft and a right barrel 480 grain solid).
I sadly had to sell that rifle to pay off my buffalo hunt .
Now, my only double rifle is a squirrel caliber (.375 H&H standard belted magnum).

It’s a Franz Sodia of Ferlach, Austria.
I also love the “Africa calibers” for the magnum Model 98 Mausers, also including the Brevex, as well as the almost but not quite Model 98’s :
the Brno 602, CZ 550, etc.
Some of the Africa worthy single shots are quite interesting as well.
Hopefully you will post pictures of your favorite large bore rifle or rifles, when you have time.
.
Skal for now,
Velo Dog.
