I thought Greifelt and Sons did not survive the war.
The "Greif-Drilling" was quite popular here before 1939.

The date of manufacture is 1927 (January). I was told that by a German client who desperately wanted to buy the rifle from me as an addition to his collection that Greifelt & Co. did not survive the war.do you know how old your .500 is ?
