Help! I need a new outfitter

One more time. I have a hunt booked with Mokore Safaris for the first 2 weeks of September. Since Bev passed I am looking for someone to book flights and transportation to and back to the safari (Save conservancy). I am in contact with Mokore. I am looking for someone to handle logistics. I have insurance and taxidermy set up. I have called Travel Express from this site and awaiting a reply. They may be the ones to work this. Thanks Mike

Mokore Safaris is your outfitter. You’re looking for a travel agent. Mokore can set up everything for you once you arrive in Zimbabwe. Travel express will handle your flights.

These details would have been great in your first post which should have been titled “Looking for a Travel Agent that specializes in Hunting”. You’re Booking Agent or Travel Agent passed away not your outfitter. Definitely helps to use the right terminology.

You have an Outfitter - it’s Mokore Safaris
When did you contact them? I’m guessing Gary or Neil likely pointed you to either Gracie Travel, TWG (Travel with Guns), or Jennifer with Travel Express.

Your other option is Google Flights. The process isn’t super complicated and many outfitters list the travel requirements for their country so you can do this yourself. Some outfitters even list a recommended Travel Agent/Travel Coordinator. Mokore is one of the outfitters who does this ON THEIR WEBSITE and in their hunt paperwork/contract. Their website under “Travel Info” includes a hyperlink to get you in direct contact with their preferred travel coordinator (TWG).

Idk what he means by outfitter. I’ve hunted twice with Mokore. He doesn’t need anything (anyone) else of course. Possibly a travel agent it appears. Just reach out to Gary or Neil via WhatsApp and make sure you are good to go. Travel Express will take care of the rest.

You have several recommendations for reliable travel agents so it looks like you are ok however i will just add the following.

1) I have stayed at the Willow Lodge in Harare 7 or 8 times. They do a great job. Rooms are clean & comfortable w/wifi, food is the same and the staff do a great job. Matthew, the manager, is a good guy.

2) I have travelled extensively in Africa over the past 30 years on both business and personal (hunting trips). For the past 10 or more years i have used WINGS Global Travel to organize tickets, hotels, support, etc… WING’s has done an excellent job supporting me. They are worth considering.

I agree, at first I thought that he needed a whole new outfitter to take him into the brush and that he had everything else scheduled, only to find that he had a outfitter but needed the flights (perhaps), but when he mentioned Travel Express I came to that conclusion which could be quite dangerous in a thread such as this one.

Looking for help with my 4th trip to Africa and expected people to suggest help with travel. You do not need to know what I am hunting . @1peggy there is no animus here, but you were misleading by accident or malapropism. The forum isn’t jumping on you, we are trying to problem solve on your behalf for a problem you do not have.

PH - The guy that walks you through the bush and keeps you from getting killed

Operator - The guy that owns the operation

Travel agent - the person that books flights and lodging

Booking agent - the commissioned salesperson that sells you all the above

Gun agent - the fellow that handles your permits and customs services

You didn’t say “I need a travel agent” so instead we’re offering you a trout riding a bicycle.
