Its hardly the same; but as I let the dogs out the other day, I spotted a fox on the lawn with a rabbit in its mouth headed back into the brush. He paused at the distraction. We looked at each other for half a second, before he darted off. I like to think we shared a quiet salute, one hunter to another.
