Hunting Greenland

Really cool hunt. Looking forward to reading about it.

I have thought about the 375 Ruger. It has a 1.5x5 Leupold scope on it.Loaded with the Barnes 250 grain ttsx at a little over 2800 fps but a little unnecessary for caribou. I just got my Ruger No 1 in 30-06. I have some 180 gr. partitions and accubond bullets. It has a 2x 7 redfield scope. It may be the safest bet.
I like the Ruger No. 1 idea. I would go with the Accubonds. You really don't need the .375 for this hunt. Looking forward to the report... You may consider taking a few FMJ rounds. Don't they have Arctic fox there?

I think they do have them. May load up some 150 gr. Fmj

I shot mine here in AK with a 454 casull and my kid used a 7mm-08. Both one shot kills and both B&C.

I would take the rifle you are most confident with for the longer ranges for caribou.

What do you guys think would be a good rifle to take to Greenland. I will be hunting muskoxen and caribou. I have the option to take a 375 Ruger with 250 gr. TTSX. The 300 Ruger with 165gr. Interbonds or gmx. Akao a Ruger no.1 with 180 gr. Accurbond. Muskoxen can weigh up to 800 lbs. But caribou could be at longer ranges.
There's only one rifle cartridge for muskox and that's Roy weatherby's magnificent 378 Magnum you would shoot clear through the entire herd

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John buzzardhilllabs@hotmail.com

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
