If you could only keep three, what would they be?

My savage 20 gauge ( for birds and small game)
My Ruger Alaskan .375 Ruger ( for anything bigger than a rabbit)
And my Winchester 22. ( to keep my wife happy so I can shoot armadillos in the yard without scaring the dogs)

500 Jeff ZKK602
9.3x74R O/U double(Krieghoff or Blaser)
7x65R Hubertus or K95 single shot

If I may add barrels the O/U will have another barrel set 7x57R/20ga with 22 Hornet insert barrel and the single shot another barrel 6.5x57R and perhaps a 28ga as well....

My feeling this morning anyway......

This is going to vary greatly on peoples location and needs.

I could do most things with a .22, a . 308 and a 12gauge.

Well I haven’t shot a rabbit in ages, but the .22 has been used for dispatching pests.

But wait, we use a .223 a lot for spotlighting and I don’t use my shotgun much.

I spend more time on the range than hunting atm so I need a target rifle and that doesn’t crossover with a hunting rifle rifle. Decisions, decisions

The last few years that I have been back in town and not working in remote location I have used my .280a.i for hunting and done a couple of trips with the .308.

The .300wm gets neglected but I’m not ready to sell it cheap and I would not want to part with my.375H&H until I have hunted Buffalo.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
