It's even a BRNO!

Not exactly what you had in mind, is it?

In all seriousness it's pretty neat. It looks like the Rhinelander Arms mag well, ejector, etc. but with a "professional" barrel job versus the Savage style lock nut barrel the conversion kits came with. Obviously a VZ-24 action and stock, but looks like an aftermarket bolt with a Talley safety and phenomenal trigger (assuming it's also Talley from what I can see looking up the guard).

The scope is a nice old Japanese made Nikon and the barreled action looks like it was coated with a Durocoat type product. The seller said he'd gotten it in a trade deal and didn’t know if it needed work or not. It look a little practice to learn how to run the bolt for smooth cycling but I put about 20 rounds of cheap 230gr FMJ through it sighting in and it's a hoot! One ragged hole at 25 yards and now I want to stretch it out a bit.

Sorry for the bait and switch!

Haha no not exactly what I was expecting.

Is it a .45 ACP, make a neat suppressed rifle, if the twist is faster 300gr at 850-1000fps ?

I once did get together all parts needed to build a Swedish m96 in 45acp. With a suppresser (over here we can buy as many we want, no paperwork :-) just buy milk, bread and a suppresser)it would have been a fun plinker.

Waste of a VZ24 action, but I like the concept. I'm thinking of doing a similar thing in 45 long Colt but with an old Lee Enfield action.....

Roger
That would be a good outfit to @yumastepside with a suppressor but available magazines would be a bit of a stumbling block ?

Haha yes, .45 ACP and I'll have to check what the twist is. Of course the safety and trigger are Timney, not Talley, but thats what I get typing right before bed. Unfortunately my silencer collection tops out at .357 currently, but this thing has me tempted to get another.

Got shoot one of the Rhinelander Arms conversion about 8or 9 years ago. Makes a neat little truck gun. The guy that had it at the range just puts it on his 4 wheeler when out checking fences on his ranch.

Basically a De Lisle carbine. Very quiet through a suppressor for elimination of guards, etc.

The .45ACP, being a heavy bullet a subsonic velocity was perfect for the application. Trouble was making a rifle to shoot it. In.

Not so bad Mark, M1 Carbine mags work for 45 LC and 44Mag.....

Roger
Emm yes that’s right there was Universal Vulcan pump in .44Mag based on a M1 wasn’t there ?

Hell not that easy now to get those magazines in either of our country’s because of law changes & bans ?

Be just as hard to get Desert Eagle, Auto Mag (rimless I know) magazine’s ?

@yumastepside
That would be really cool.
My gunsmith made a De Lisle commando 45 carbine as a special order for a customer. I think he use a 45 Glock mag for extra fire power. He would have liked a 30 round Thompson mag tho. Looked the part, shot well but the suppressor was for looks only as you know we can't have them.
Attached is a photo of an original

I reckon he is adept at custom work.
Not sure what refs might apply to his state/territory or licence category but he can probably have a 10 round magazine without question.
