If memory serves, .22 for the points and .25 for the plugs. Also runs better slightly advanced.Evening All,
This is mostly for ActionBob, but also for everyone else who responded and was intested. I'm pretty sure it's sold. Fella coming from Wa State next week if the roads are open to pick it up. We've had fires, rock slides, mud, and everything but locusts this last week.
Sorry to our African colleagues, I couldn't find a box big enough, nor bubble wrap to get her to ya.
So, it's sat in the yard for the last almost 2 years with no love. I changed the oil/filter, put a new coil, condenser, points, plugs and wires in it, and it fired right up.
Ok trivia question; what is the proper gap on the points, and what did we use for it back in the 70's and 80's (or earlier...)
Cheers!
I think it is .022 and it could be .025 but I think I recall something about .015 also for the spark plug gap.If memory serves, .22 for the points and .25 for the plugs. Also runs better slightly advanced.

That very well could be, it's been years and my memory isn't all that great anyway.I think it is .022 and it could be .025 but I think I recall something about .015 also for the spark plug gap.
