What a way to start the 2025 season with this beautiful Spotted Hyena. A Spotted Hyena was our hunter's dream animal for this trip. Having done the preparations for the hunt well before his arrival, this loner came in during daylight hours after only being in the blind for 15 minutes.

Limpopo is very green during March, which sometimes requires a plan B or C. As long as you don't run out of plans. Here is a very nice Tsessebe bull for our hunter. Tsessebe are not one of the common animals hunted, but they are a magnificent animal and should certainly be an option to those hunters running out of ideas.

Great Waterbuck bull recently spotted in one of our free range areas. Patience will be the key here. A good rain season ensured long grass for the early season, but soon enough this will retract for the Winter.

15 mins only…. Wow that one came in fast!

We had four different groups coming in on this bait. A single, then three, then a group of four and then another single animal, which could be the same as the first single.

After sitting in the blind for a Honey Badger the previous night until around 00:30, we decided to take it a little bit slower the following morning. With two of the main targeted species in the salt, there was no need to push too hard and I'm sure our hunter appreciated this. This meant we had a slightly later start to the morning. The mid morning until lunchtime hunt did not produce much, but the afternoon was a lot more fruitful with this Copper Springbuck ram giving us the chance that we needed.
