I had this mounted in Talley rings on a .30-06 but decided it wasn’t right aesthetically. Slim profile barrel and 42mm objective lens just didn’t look right to me.

Only went to range a few times with it, never even made it to the woods. Scope is in immaculate condition. The only marks on it are two dots of copper where it was hit by an ejected 5.56 casing (doh!). See photos. More than likely you’ll cover those with your rings anyway.

This is not a firedot illuminated scope. Normal duplex reticle.

This is not a CDS dial scope. Covered turrets are 1/4 MOA clicks and they are able to be reset to zero. Tracks true.

$1000 shipped to anywhere in the USA.
Sorry international friend, not exportable.

@Mark Biggerstaff also has been a long term member, frequenter of DSC and the AH events, and worked for a former sponsor. He has a reputation that makes it a little easier to send him $.
Mark has a well deserved, positive reputation. I have transacted with him myself and agree he’s a trusted pro.

I was using his post to humbly point out that my original price for a nearly-but-not-quite-new condition scope was more than his still-in-the-shrink-wrap-new just sold for. Using his transaction as an anchor point I have lowered my price accordingly.

The non-CDS models are getting harder to find since the market continues to lean towards the tacticool, dial-it-in crowd. I think it would make a very fine fit for a plains game hunting rifle, especially a heavier .35 or 9.3 or .375.

These VX-5HD scopes can retail for $1200 plus tax/shipping. I thought my first price of $1000 was fair, and I believe the new price of $850 is even fairer. Hoping this one finds a home with an AH member rather than putting it on eBay.
