The first Louisiana black bear hunting season in more than 35 years successfully concluded Dec. 22 and included a 696-pound adult male bear.

10 for 11 is a very good success rate. Great to see Louisiana back hunting black bears. Several big ones but that 696 pounder is a huge one!
