Mispronounced gun names

Not really a mispronunciation but I was rather too old to have it pointed out to me that there was a double meaning to “Mannlicher”….
Reminds me of a funny incident at the LGS in South Carolina 29 years ago. The shop is a pawnshop, but often had many interesting guns. The owner was a gun guy.

I asked “ Do you have any Ruger 77 Internationals?
The clerk, a guy I regularly dealt with, was puzzled.
I said “You know with a Mannlicher stock?

He firmly looked me straight in the eye and in his distinctive South Carolina drawl said:

“We don’t have any Man Lickers in here!”

I laughed my ass off, and he did too.

I love the American members giving the "correct" pronunciations... :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The ACTUAL German pronunciation of Koch is: Cou (as in cough) and "g" as in Afrikaans "Gaan kak" or like you're clearing your throat (hawk tah in very recent modern social media parlance :ROFLMAO: )

Sako is pronounced SAH-Ko in Finnish

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
