MOZAMBIQUE: Mutemba Safaris Mozambique

Thanks you guys it was a great trip.

Day eight was the last night hunting not much luck for a kudu but managed to get a sharps grysbuck at dark but I already had my stuff packed so I didn't get pics.

Overall a very nice camp well run. Thatch roof with cement pad and tent walls was our living quarters. Great dinning area with a campfire. Hot showers and running water everything was run off solar power. I would highly recomend it to anyone looking for the old Africa style hunting lots of time on foot. Great quality of game.

Wayne has been running this area for over seven years now and is in it for the long term. The game numbers keep increasing every year. We seen lion, sable, Nyala, kudu, impala, bush pig, warthog and lots of small antelope along with sign of leapard and elephant ever were. Also seen a cheeta and some wild dog tracks.

Oh now you're killing me! And the keyboard is suffering from saliva poisoning. Could you provide an estimate on how many sable you saw and overall quality? Does Wayne have sable on quota yet?

BTW, are you planning on any days at SCI this year? I'm planning on at least Friday / Saturday.

Hahaha Phil I thaught you would like that sable mention and yes this is the first year he has one sable available. Ian estimated the bull we seen at 38-40 inch there has been a good group staying around there as well as a few loan bulls. He is not selling it yet as he wants the numbers to increase but it was available on chance encounter for someone hunting buffalo.

If the wife lets me get away I am trying to make it to sci for a day or two yes.

Hmm, need to send Ian out to wrestle the sable cows to the ground and force feed them some fertility pills. I'm certain Ian could do this one of his hands tied behind his back.

Well hopefully we can meet up at Wayne's booth. Congrats again, good report!

Good hunt. Lovely kudu and that buff is a cracker. Congratulations:)

Hi, congratulations on your hunt and trophies, I can believe you when you say you had a lovely time.
I have also just returned from a buffalo hunt with Ian Brown at Wayne Wagners SA concession. What a PH he truly is. I will be posting up a hunt report and pictures very soon. I shot a nice 38 inch hard bossed Dugga boy and my brother shot a 46"
buff. A truly amazing experience.

Thanks, happy to hear you got your dugga boys and that Ian and Wayne took care of you. Can wait to here the details. Hope you liked his place in SA.

Congrats on a great hunt and very nice trophies.

Thanks for sharing.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
