I'm getting started on load development for a new 9.3x62. I have located some OK brass and cheap bullets to get zeroed and acquainted with the gun. But I will quickly need to see if I can find some better brass and hunting bullets like A-Frames, Woodleighs, North Forks or the like. Even small quantities would be helpful at this stage as I try and discover the best option for my rifle. I look forward to hearing what you've got!
Thanks,
Gary

Raven Rock Precision who is a forum sponsor has Norma brass right now.
Thank You, I actually bought some of those this morning, just hoping I might be able to upgrade a bit if possible but I won't be disappointed if I end up with the Normas.

Bullets aren't an issue. Nosler, Barnes, A Square and Hornady but only for Plains Game. Brass is tough to find . But Norma and Nosler are available.

What do you think of 300gr Hornady DGS?
Seem like they would punch a hole through just about anything but a solid in 9.3 just seems a little weird.

Not weird. I have a supply of both Norma 275 grain solid and Federal 286 grain Hydro factory ammo.

However, what is weird is Hornady cataloging a 300 grain DGS, but not a 300 grain DGX Bonded.

That’s true.
A 300gr DGX would be more useful overall where the solid is a pretty specific niche.

I always load a soft in the chamber and solids in the mag for hunting Africa. A flanking shot on a big animal needs a solid from my experience.

North Fork has both the 286 gr Cup Point solid and Flat point solid in stock now. The cup points are drivers with a very good wound channel since they expand slightly.

Nosler has 9.3 250 accubonds available now on the seconds tab. Also available as firsts at midway and a couple other places. Lapua brass is the best I have tried, and midway and europtics has it in stock now. I used 286 Aframes the first time I took mine to Africa, and also Norma 232oryx on smallish stuff. Last year I used 286 partitions and was very happy with them. I just hope they do a run of them soon!!

For 9.3 Mauser these days I first check Raven Rock, then Grafs.
I do too and most everything but privi and hornady in bullets and norma brass were out of stock so I bought a little of each.

Those are awesome, I had a box of both plus the soft for my 375 which I just sold.

I may have missed it but what are you going to shot with your 9.3?

Precision Reloading at 800-223-0900 has Lapua in stock 188.00 per 100 but Norma is very good brass

I love the plains game, particularly Eland and Gemsbok and I wouldn't hesitate on a Buffalo with the right bullets. I also get to participate in a good number of Problem Animal Control hunts with a PH friend who works at the behest of the Government when when there has been injury or fatalities to humans or destruction of livestock. These hunts include the big five animals plus crocks and hyenas.

Sounds like my dream!! LOL!!

Can't go wrong with Norma brass, and the norma Oryx is a great projectile for the 9.2x62.
