I had Dave Manson create the reamer, McGowen the barrel, and fitted it to a Dumolin Mauser action. I took it to the Karoo in South Africa this year and as you would expect it performed nicely on game.

I have had a couple other Safaris in South Africa and Namibia.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

I plan to add some hunt reports soon, as well as some range reports.

I do intend to return to the Dark Continent, and I would like to hunt South America as well as Down Under at one point.

Looking forward to the great information available here.

Welcome Robert, I just moved out of San Antonio a few months back. I have a ranch down South of Uvalde. Hope to meet up with you one day. Will you attend DSC South Texas banquet on April 1?

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
