Good day,

I’ve been lurking on here for a while but realise that I should’ve introduced myself.

I grew up in central South Africa with some sort of hunting tool in hand at all times. I’ve hunted South Africa and Namibia and realised my life-long dream of hunting buffalo in the Zambezi region of Namibia in April 2022.

I have a number of hunting rifles and am currently waiting for my license for a 404 Jeffery.

Welcome to the site Louis. We were in the Zambezi delta region last May. My husband was hunting croc and then was hoping to hunt buffalo…but none had moved into the area yet because of the rains and high grasses etc. We still had a fabulous time. Would love to hear more about your buffalo hunt.

Welcome aboard Louis. Being the proud owner of a couple of 404 Jeffery(s), I know you are going to love it. Several years ago, one of our members named Gert Odendaal mentioned a gunsmith buddy of his that was making 404(s) out of old K98 actions. I believe his name was Johan Grayling but I'm not positive. Could be the same guy that is building your rifle. When you get it, give us a shout and I'll provide you with a very accurate load for it. That is assuming you reload.
