New Visa requirements for Namibia

Always a moving target with changes to immigration requirements in any country.

@Jeff505 and I made it through Namibian Customs in about 90 minutes yesterday. They certainly have some opportunity to improve the process, but it wasn’t that bad. We had to fill out the Visa application form even though we had pre-approved e-Visas, which seems redundant, The queues for those with e-Visas and those applying on arrival were poorly signed and a jumbled mess. That said, I spent less time in line entering Namibia than the last time I entered the US in Dallas! That was a three hour PITA!

I looked at the requirements for the visa and had a few questions if anyone can give me some feedback

Second trip to Namibia coming up in September was there early March when it rained every day on a leopard hunt needless to say cats don’t like rain and caved up so my return in September is needed. Questions on the visa some are very self explanatory but a few I need some help if anyone knows the answers or what they used thanks!
  • Deed Of Surety Form Signed By The Inviter, If Inviter- A what do they want here?
  • Certified copies of passport- I have copies but what are they considering as a certified copy?
  • Six (6) Months Bank Statement From The Inviter, If Invited- what do they want here?
  • Current Status Of The Inviter, If Inviter- what do they want here
  • Proof Of Financial Statement For 6 Months Of The Applicant- what do they want here?

I too brought all of the required documents and the customs agent refused to look at any of them! All they wanted was the e-Visa and manually completed Visa form.

That said. I recognize some of the documents you reference, but not all.

Deed of Surity: I brought a letter of invitation from the outfitter

Certified copies of Passport: I had copies, but not certified.

Six Months Bank Statement; I didn’t bring and I understand that this requirement was eliminated.

Current status of provider : No clue

Financial Status: I brought a letter from my bank stating I had sufficient funds to be traveling

So, my advice is to ask your outfitter. They’ll should be up to date on the requirements. Another alternative is to use a safari travel agent like Travel Express or Gracy and let them handle it.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
