Good grief, me too! Now I'm watching it on purpose. It's hell getting old.Ha! Ha! When every once in a great while my maternal grandparents would babysit my two brothers and I on a Saturday night and we had to endure watching this for an hour on the one tv in their home.
Bet that guy in blue is thinking “Prim candidate for a recital search”!
My parents watched it all the time. I actually liked it. You could understand the words .
Both Lawrence Welk and my Grandparents were born and raised in North Dakota, so I guess that was the connection.Good grief, me too! Now I'm watching it on purpose. It's hell getting old.

Mine did. Black and white of course. The men had to have TV to watch the games on Thanksgiving, Christmas and she's Years! My grandfather also watched Friday Night Fights. Anyone else remember the boxing?Wow, all of you folks grandparents had a TV?
Right now I enjoy watching all of the shows from the 60's and 70's since I never watched TV after school or on weekends. After school I'd get my homework done and then be gone playing sports or other activities until around 10pm.
Dad always watched the fights, I still remember the Cashis Clay/Sonny Listen fight. We were in Silver City, New Mexico at the time.Mine did. Black and white of course.
