Next thing we will find out is that Dennis Rodman will become ambassador to North Korea. :ROFLMAO:

I'd prefer Terry Crews in full blown Camacho regalia...

I thought Laura Trump lived in North Carolina? That may just be her home state.

I don't know. I have just read that since Rubio's name came up so I presume they live in Florida now and not NYC. Her husbands business is still in NYC as I recall and NYC was the last place I knew they lived.

Gaetz's district is solid red... Zero chance of a dem flipping that seat..
Waltz's seat is also pretty much a lock to stay red...
I would also say it's a safe bet to say that the candidates that get Trump's endorsement are going to be the successors of these seats...

These picks have more than the dems foaming... Lots of Never-Trumpers losing their collective minds as well... Can't say I'm not enjoying every minute of it...

I don't know but it makes me nervous as well. He's plucked a lot of folks from the senate and house. Some people are saying Stefanik's district is not a lock. She beat Collins pretty big. However, prior to Stefanik her district was blue for 25 years.

We can't afford to lose a single seat in the house at the moment. Senate is equally is delicate.

Makes me a bit nervous. Hope the people advising him are looking at the whole picture.

Have to wonder if Patel would follow through with his “we’re coming for you” to the thugs at the DOJ and FBI from Garland on down to low lying flunkies that violated federal law in order to get Trump and his supporters……… I’d pay money to see that….

At some point, something has to be done. The way the DOJ has been weaponized should terrify every American.

The tipping point, believe it or not, was probably Mayor Adams.

Not sure if Gaetz will still be AG in four years but I bet the seventh floor at the FBI and top floor at DOJ will be gone by the end of February.

I just thought I remembered her name being floated to run for office in North Carolina. But the old mind isn’t what it used to be.

I imagine he will be another Jeff Sessions. Lets see though.

In my mind there were certainly better picks but I don't see the outspoken bombastic Gaetz as being much like the milk toast Sessions. I see Gaetz coming into DOJ like a wrecking ball, not meekly bowing down to a Sally Yeats like Sessions did. Sessions should have said lay Russia gate out on the table for me and I will make the decision. If your evidence isn't convincing I want your resignation by 5pm. That would have helped keep the DOJ in line but he didn't have the strength of character to do that. IMHO.

Im going to bet the file that the file Garland has built on Gaetz has at least 11 volumes and is 1000+ pages in length lol..

An interesting twist to the whole presidential immunity thing that the supreme court ruled on recently.. is.. no one else is immune...

what if Gaetz decided to look into the activities of Garland and others and found that any of their actions or behaviors were in violation of even the smallest of laws?

lawfare of a completely different kind might ensue...

and while on the surface that might sound like a bad thing... if it actually held public officials to a standard of honesty, integrity, and acting only within the confines of the law... how would that be bad?

Think the FEMA chiefs are scrambling right now over their most recent scandal? what if they thought they might actually see prison time for their actions rather than just dismissal?
What? A DEMOCRAT actually going to jail?! Seeing will be believing. They think the law doesn't apply to them--and have been proven right for decades....

I beg God they were reservists.
Hope to hell they do better in the field. Who was it that said an outfit that failed inspection won battles and one who passed failed in the field (or something to that effect)?

So, I spent the night well into the wee hours and pretty much all day reading Hegseth's book "War on Warriors." A little hyperbolic in places, but on the whole, it is an excellent work, and extremely well written. That speaks well for him because he was not famous enough for ghost writer. I highly recommend it. I also feel a lot better about him as a person. I still have every reason to believe he has no real clue what he is walking into, but I now believe he has the bones to figure it out. The democrats will try to label him an extremist, but I suspect all the republicans will be able to get behind him unless he just totally bombs the confirmation hearing. He also rid himself of that ridiculous mullet (I now know why) that made him look like a blue jay when he turned his head. I wish him well.

Besides, Gaetz will now give him a lot of cover.

With Gaetz as AG makes me wonder if Patel may run FBI. Most Presidents will let leaders appoint the individuals under them. Don't think Trump is going to let that happen this time. At least with some of the significant positions.
I'll bet you a nice dinner that Gaetz's nom never makes it to a vote. The senate will love to find an issue where they can say we are with you Mr President, but .............. Gaetz will provide an irresistible and totally justifiable opportunity.
