Prove it?
That is unbelievably ignorant. Anyone with with a grade 9 education in history in Canada sees how Trump demonstrates every day that he is a fascist, autocratic, narcissist.

Have you ever heard of Mussolini or Hitler. It sounds like you don't even know what the words fascist and autocrat actually mean. Do you know that currently autocracies are taking over countries around the world? Do you see what is happening in Russia?

You and millions of your county men, Tump supporters, are very poorly informed. It looks like you going to learn the hard way, how history can repeat itself if a nation has too many ignorant people.
You are in for a hard education.

Satire?

I was a very reluctant Trump voters this last go 'round. I must admit that, aside from Trumps Ukraine strategy, I've been quite please with his term thus far.

You’ll hardly find me a trump supporter I’ve vocally spoken out about his politics on here on multiple occasions. The trade war has forced the price of lobsters down by almost 50% in the last week directly effecting my income so I have as much pent up frustration as anyone. That said you sir need to step away from your keyboard and take a breath. attacking the character of @steve white or anyone who reluctantly voted for trump will not gain you anything. The real ignorance is the crowd who thinks trump is a great leader and human being not those who felt he was the better of two poor choices.

So.....we have another all knowing Canadian jumping onto the thread to berate and call us "Ignorant American Trump supporters" ?

GFY.

You are listening to Canadian news and drawing flawed conclusions. I encourage you to review the definitions of the words you are using and broaden your data input. I don’t agree with many of his foreign policy positions, but I would draw the line well short of fascism. You may not be familiar with the checks in place that limit the president’s power. The bombastic statements do not become policy if they do not pass muster with the other branches of government.

Now now Tubby. Wearing that red hat proudly, while watching Trump bitch slap the rest of the world into fair trade submission, while you are all crying like spoiled liberal schoolgirls who aren't getting your way.

Every Canadian spent over 7000$ more in your county last year than Americans spent in Canada. The numbers don’t lie you just choose to ignore them a country of 40 million trades within 63 billion of a country with 300 million more people. Try to find a better trade partner we’ll wait.

If Americans matched Canadians dollar per dollar in cross boarder spending the trade deficit would be 2.38 trillion annually.

Usually anyone with at least a 9th grade education refers to it as the 9th grade.

It's actually a Canadianism.
You can see a similar and satirical take on it if you've ever seen Trailer Park Boys and Ricky being determined "to get his grade 10".

I actually thought it was a more local Ontario thing prior to seeing it in TPB years and years ago because of OAC (grade 13), but turns out it's a common, at least in the east, turn of phrase.

Something like "get your grade 12 and then you can travel a bit" means to finish highschool and then gap year.

Certainly not defending the rest of his statement but that grade 9 vs 9th grade is probably more of a regional variation in language. It would be quite common to hear someone on the east coast who had recently graduated for example say they got there grade 12.

How would a man like you have any idea about what news I listen to or where I gather my knowledge and wisdom from.
I listen mostly to America and European news, even the Fox propaganda channel.
You use "checks in place" and "Trump" in the same sentence. I think that you should watch more American news yourself and not just Fox.

I am nearly 80, and am retired from a life time of being a successful international businessman in manufacturing.

I can tell that you don't know what you are talking about. Your lack of knowledge and information is at your own peril, not mine. There are plenty of respected American writers/authorities on politics, history, sociology and economics that would get you up to speed, but of course you would never read them, too much trouble, just listen to Fox. Good luck with that. Bye.

Another Canadian example would be the bare naked ladies song “me in grade 9”

Is that in Canada? Been an East Coaster my entire life and have never heard it referenced that way.

Again with making assumptions without researching the men you criticize. @WAB is a dual citizen with a lifetime of experience in the oil business Including a stint in the Irving refinery in n.b. Not to mention family ties in Ontario and the Maritimes.

I really feel like we shouldn't use musicians from the 90s/00s as a reference for grammar or proper use of the English Language.

Edit: btw totally had Bare naked ladies one week and Harvey Danger Flagpole sitta mixed up.
