The DOJ arrested gay Trump supporter Scott Presler for being outside the Capitol on January 6. Not having the financial resources to fight the charges he plead guilty. His response was to move to Pennsylvania and set up a grassroots organization to register voters including the Amish. They registered 10's of thousands prior to the election. In part due to Presler's actions, Pennsylvania voted red and swapped a senator and two congressmen. We may never know what would have happened without the DOJ's overreach.

That's fascinating. I was unaware. Thx for sharing. Quite a story

Meanwhile over on The View - I have no idea who this fellow is, but damn .....

I have the feeling this is staged.
They know they're cooked and this is the stageplay mea culpa and reconciliation story.

Those stupid broads never ever shut up and let anyone talk.

Next they start swinging moderate in hopes the network stays afloat and keeps their propaganda show on the air.

This is them going into survival phase.

I'm not fully buying that either. Like you said they never shut up nor have I ever seen them anywhere near that respectful to a guest. I was waiting for something at the end to tell me it was a skit or something.

One or two of the small, alternative outlets like RAV featured Presler and what he was doing in the lead up to the election. True story. While everyone was focused on the shiny object idiot clowns in the Imperial MSM, Presler and others were on the ground

There's more to this. It's a great story but it started with the USDA/FDA fining Amish farmer's early in the year. Presler and a bunch of other grassroots conservative organizations came in, appealed to them, and they got onboard.

It really is an amazing story. It could possibly be the weight that tipped the scales in Trump's favor and pretty poetic, if you ask me.

This is edited, this is not real, please see the community notes.

You are both right. I usually pick that sort of thing up. It gets harder - plus I was really hoping it was an actual clip. :E Shrug: :E Shrug:

Actually this falls right in the lap of George Bush. I lost a lot of respect for him over this.

You are right. The Bush DOJ are the ones who prosecuted Stevens. I remembered that incorrectly. Thanks for catching me.

The trial caused Stevens to loose his seat and Begich, Stevens replacement, cast the deciding vote to end the filibuster on Obamacare, allowing it to go to a vote.

I met with Begich when I had responsibility for the oil facilities in the Port of Anchorage. I wasn’t impressed. It’s hard to believe he replaced an icon like Ted Stevens.
