Biden is now allowing the Ukraine to use U.S provided long range missiles into Russia.
Is this move politically motivated?
No. In what way could it be? It is a very late, but serious response to Putin's decision to employ North Korean troops and long range artillery against Ukraine. I posted about it earlier and provided some links. You should read it.

Have no idea in Arizona. Sounds like a good research project. Let us know.
270towin.com - 85.7% of voters have voted for the same party for all president, senate, and representative since 2008. Not sure what that is worth, but that seems to be the average. There is not a breakdown for each seat. Easy to find though.

Why would it be politically motivated? Because they are Democrats!

It’s looking more and more like Gaetz will not be confirmed. I heard an interview on the radio of a conservative senator stating that Gaetz was known to, while on the house floor to show sketchy videos and pictures on his phone. This senator called him a pig and a predator.
Surely there are other people that can drain the swamp that don’t have this baggage

Also, apparently, Hegseth did not tell any of Trump’s team about his NDA with a woman that accused him of assaulting her. I would not trust a guy that did not come clean when asked if he wanted the position. I don’t care if he did it or not that NDA is out there and he signed it. He had to know it was going to come up. He should’ve either told them or recuse himself from the jump.

As far as I’m concerned, whether he did it or not he should have told the Trump team about
The NDA to save them this aggravation.

Both of them should withdraw. We don’t need to start this administration with all this drama.

They're probably worried the Republicans hold private hearings in the basement.

Money plain and simple. The party that claims to be the party of peace has always been the party of war. If you go back to the civil war, all but two wars were started by Democrats. Lincoln and W were anomalies. Eisenhower warned us about this!

Yes, but the money dries up if the current war hungry individuals get exposed by investigation, no matter which side they belong to. If the vehicle used to launch investigations is Trump, who I personally think is leading a 3rd American political party, then who cares which of the two established parties did what when and where in the past. That's why the MSM are acting like they've forgotten the election loss, pretending it didn't happen and continuing headlong into a clash with the voters, again.

@Field28 Lincoln did not start the Civil War.

Creigh, I see it as a last grasp, a chance to escalate or perhaps a chance to cause chaos for the incoming administration.
I think that is about as incorrect interpretation of this decision as possible.

I would be stunned if the issue wasn't discussed between Biden and Trump during their long meeting on November 13th. Putting a limitation on such weapons when they were initially delivered was McNamarish to begin with. The Ukrainians could freely strike Crimea with them, but not major air bases just over the border from Kharkiv? This represented the typical risk avoidance demonstrated by this administration since the beginning of the conflict. The North Korean deployment provided even Jake Sullivan a provocation and opportunity even he could not ignore.

The appearance of those North Koreans is already a rather obvious indicator of growing Russian battlefield desperation. as is the near extinction of their modernized armor. Additionally, the rubble has an exchange rate of 100 to the US dollar, Russia's central bank just raised interest rates to 21%, and inflation is running at a steady clip of 7.5-8%. If the Ukrainians are successful in disrupting the current Russian offensive effort that is already costing Russia nearly 1500 casualties a day, Kyiv's negotiating position increases meaningfuilly. That will help the new administration in reaching a negotiated settlement that might last more than 48 months. As you may have noticed, the end the war in 24 hours hasn't worked out just yet.

The only "party" that started this war was the one led by Vladimir Putin.

Enlighten us. What political benefit to Democrats would there be? Election is over.
The Democrats have made it clear that they are going to do anything they can to sabotage Trumps presidency.
What better way to start that circus, then to stir up a hornet's nest inside Russia shortly before leaving the Whitehouse, with a maniacal dictator who has threatened retaliation with the possible use of nuclear weapons if NATO country provided weapons are used inside Russia.?
That threat is extremely hypocritical for Russia, considering they brough in 11,000 North Korean troops to help regain control of the Kursk region.

No Eisenhower did not. That is common myth about his remarks. Read the whole thing. He was specifically referring to the Cold War and his message was the Cold War was caused by communist aggression, not the greed of US defense contractors, and the existence of the military-industrial complex was vital, not insidious. It was also a time when the military expenditures used up 10% of our GDP - expenditures for which Eisenhower fought tenaciously. Today it is just under 3.5%.

These misinterpretations and arguments were the fodder of leftist anti-American apologists throughout most of my life - particularly groups like SDS and the later Code Pink crowd. Now they are embraced by the neo-isolationists on the right. Both were and are wrong, but interesting bedfellows.

What is Putin going to do? Serious question Brent. If he uses a nuclear weapon against NATO it will result in the total complete and utter destruction of Russia as a nation, its culture, and the personal demise of every leader in the country. A nuclear exchange would indeed be a worldwide catastrophe, but Putin does not even know how many of his country's weapons will function as designed or even reach their targets. However, of one thing he can be sure, virtually every US and British weapon will hit exactly as targeted and perform exactly as designed.

Yet, there are many in this country who seem perfectly happy to let this little dictator threaten us and achieve his goals with an essentially unusable stick.

Looks like Gaetz might be done…
Politically inexplicable to have ever put him in the oven to begin with. Heard a right wing commentator yesterday suggest Trump was playing 3D chess with this appointment. It looks more and more like it wasn't even checkers - perhaps tic tac toe? Another Gaetz problem with these sorts of allegations is that he is clearly no Brett Kavanaugh.

Putin's original threats involved the use of tactical nukes in Ukraine.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
