Politics

Zeihan has a good grasp of geopolitics. One thing about Zeihan is he is always 100% certain of everything he says. It would be interesting to go back 5-10 years on his comments and see how accurate he actually is.
I would agree except his grasp of geopolitics. He’s been wrong a lot and likes to hear himself talk. A little full of himself. He got taken down a notch now.

Bolton is a lunatic and ex-Cheney crony. Bolton was oil, Trump was water, in his admin. You take a guy who looked to exit wars, mix him with an adviser that wanted to start every war he could...not a good mix. Trump's biggest mistake was listening to the person who advised him to pick him. He even says it in his Rogan podcast. He flat-out admits it, "I got bad advice. Everyone said pick Bolton, that guys crazy, so I picked him."

Bolton was way, way to the far right in terms of USA involvement in foreign conflict. I mean...the guy served in the Secretary of State from 2001-2005. Seriously? That's the same admin that got us into decades long conflicts. One of which we remained in, long after we accomplished our set objective. Yet, he was a draft dodger in Vietnam. He student deferred. Then played the numbers game, joined the ANG, and avoided combat. All while supporting the war LOL.

So it seems like he's great at sending people to war, not really great at actually going. He's the LAST person who's opinion I'd consider on Gabbard.

Now Tulsi? Served AND deployed to a combat zone. What Gabbard said about Assad isn't, factually, wrong. He never threatened the USA. Neither did Saddam, to my knowledge. So what about that is untrue? CNN is still cherry-picking clips and omitting facts I see.

Lets also not forget that Bolton is on CNN, as an ex-war hawk, who got fired by Trump, criticizing an ex-Dem turned GOP who supports our president-elect, who fired him, and is going to serve in his cabinet. Oh man, what a time to be alive.

Bolton is the type of guy where if a dictator Googles something crooked, he wants boots on the ground. The guy is real dangerous.

Gaetz, I tend to agree. I also wipe my rear end with anything Bolton or CNN says.
You are keying in on Bolton too much. That has nothing to do will Gabbard and Gaetz. She has no experience with intelligence and her views switch like the wind. Trump has appointed them because they are loyal and he owes them something for their support. There are other loyal choices is my point, not a love for Bolton. I can agree with anyone on certain things but disagree on others. More people should try that!

"2) Was he more than likely in a room, more than once or twice, with hookers and blow? Probably. Let's just call it for what it is. Not a great look."

One man's 'not a great look' is another man's 'Gee, he was in a situation with illegal activities and now he wants to be the top cop." I guess we can agree to disagree.

Honestly reading that reminded me of Jake Spoon and Lonesome Dove. Maybe Matt, like Jake, was just trying to get by until he could get to Kansas. In the words of Augustus: "You know how it goes, Jake. You ride with an outlaw, you die with an outlaw. Sorry you crossed the line."

There have got to be better options than Gaetz for this position. I want to believe the process will push the decision in that direction. I respect your attitude about uniting, and I want that too, but not through appointing people that are poor choices. I hope for unity through good choices.
Problem is, this admin, and particularly this admin's AG, is corrupt AF. If they had a case against Gaetz, even if it were the flimsiest of cases, they'd have brought it to him. That they haven't charged him means all the yacking about it is just so much more hot air.

This admin and its water carriers in the press have attempted to gaslight us for 4 years that Biden was the picture of mental health. Until, that is, it was so obvious he wasn't that even the village idiots couldn't help but notice.

"Honest, we're telling the truth about Gaetz. We pinky-swear."

If that crew told me the sun was shining outside, I'd go out and have a look for myself. They seem to lie even when it doesn't serve any real purpose to.

I'd eat a couple rolls of gas station sushi before I'd believe anything that is uttered from anybody in this administration or the mainstream media.

Lets add to it Bolton criticizing recess appointments....after he was appointed via the same method in 2005! You can't make this up LOL

Exactly right. If I had a nickel for ever false accusation Democrats have made against Republicans in the last 4 years alone, I'd retire a rich man.

As a side note, Merrick Garland prosecuted and sent to prison Bannon and Navarro for failing to testify before Congress. Garland himself then refused to testify before Congress. Wonder if he is having second thoughts about that.

Putin has an updated nuclear doctrine.
One of which is that any ballistic missile launched into Russian territory is cause for nuclear retaliation.

Go ahead Vlad, I dare you......lol

I believe he has made these threats before. Hopefully these are idle threats again .

Hell the director of health for NYC has been caught on video admitting to attending drug & sex parties with his wife….While he had NYC locked down for COVID, so why the double standard?

How is it a double standard? I wouldn't want him to have a cabinet position either, for the same reasons.

Ukraine fired a couple (others say as many as eight) last night into an ammunition storage facility near Bryansk. Of course the Russians claimed to have shot them all down - though perhaps a soldier dropped a cigaret at the facility about the same time.

I’d say that’s a direct hit! Cool thing about these hits is that not only are the munitions gone, the storage facility is completely destroyed. Keep this up and they’ll be storing munitions in barns.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
