So you think they're not happy with the Danes, they'll welcome us with open arms?
Probably you are not following international press but Greenlanders along with Danes are not very happy with what Trump s

Yes I saw that both the Danes and Greenlander leaders said the island is not for sale. I've seen that residents of the island are not happy with Denmark. From what I've read and that was hastily so, they're looking for independence from Denmark and want to work with America and Trump.

Never suggested we take it over nor do I think that's what they want.

Remember when Trump was a Xenophobe and racist for declaring that countries were emptying prisons and sending them north.

Remember, years ago that Trump scolded Gavin Newsome and California liberals for blocking more water storage initiatives. And Greenie brush and forest management practices. At that time Trump was anti environmental and hated fish. smelt.

So now with regards to Greenland the NW Passage and Panama he is an Imperialist. He did not pull this out of thin air. Military leaders have been raising the alarm for years.

For our German friend concerned about Trump taking over the world. This is his form of Verhandlungsposition. He threatened Little Rocket man with war. N Korea chilled out for 4 yrs.

Trump threatened Hamas and Houthi’s with total annihilation and guess what. Our Jewish Hamas hostages will be released before the inauguration. It’s his decades old method of Feilschen

Here is some info on the Presidental declaration to pressure California to build more water storage infrastructure.

Gavin Newsome sued the Feds to stop the initiative. And now Newsome lies and says out loud that no such declaration or lawsuit existed.

Well said my friend!

It's lonely at the top. As a leader if everyone loves you then you aren't going forward.
If you have never made a mistake you have never done anything...
Add to the above many more sayings...

Trump is the leader of the free world.
Biden let Obama, a terrible President, run the country.
Carter was worthless as President.
Old Bush was okay but pretty much a dead fish in persona.
And the critique list goes on and on ..

China is on the rise and it means to dominate the world. China plans 100 years out so let's pay attention.

Trump is an axxhole but his actions are for the good of the country. What is good for the USA is good for most other countries. If you don't believe this, ask our African members.

The other day my Zambian born wife and I were in an Apple store getting her a new laptop. The clerk ask how to pronounce our last name. I thanked him for asking and joked that in my next life I hope to be a Smith or Jones :). My wife followed saying,
"In my next life I hope to be born in America."

Her above statement pretty much sums it up. We are not perfect, Trump is far from perfect as a person, but America with strong leadership has been a large part of keeping the world free from tyrants and dictators since 1917.

Now, if we will stay the course in supporting Ukraine and be aware of non-state Oligarchs like Soros!

I’m sorry for the California fire victims. But !

I wonder if FEMA will ask California fire victims if they voted for Newsome and their current state and local idiots before granting our tax money To build more houses in a Box Canyon surrounded by fuel.

Bravo Mark. Put me down for beers if ever we meet.

California Wildfires: Talking with a friend from California who told me that most homeowner's insurance does not cover wildfires. If your toaster burns your house down, that is covered. If a wildfire sweeps your neighborhood and burns you out, you are not covered. Hoping for the best for my friends in Ca. Gonna talk with insurance agent soon. FWIW.............FWB

Watching the Carter funeral this morning. I was disappointed to see all branches of the military, except the US Marines can not stand outside in 30 degree sunshine for an hour without ear muffs and goofy hats.

At least the the US Marines leadership still has some standards

Hurricane damage is parsed as well.

I know that State Farm cancelled homeowners coverage in California for the most part, as they lost billions in past Wildfire claims

and yet it is not forgotten how the USA treats indigenous people.

With the one exception of the first humans originating in Southern Africa, there really is no such thing as purely "indigenous" people... The planet was inhabited by the natural human desire to migrate for any number of reasons including better hunting & farming, and more favorable climates. The subsequent conflicts, wars, and conquering of one people over another are natural human events that were inevitable as populations increased and the human species evolved... This concept is not and never was unique to the settlement of America.

"Indigenous" Americans actually migrated from Asia anywhere from 30,000 to 12,000 years ago where they populated and settled numerous unique tribes and micro-cultures. What many agenda driven historians fail to acknowledge is that these indigenous "Americans" where not all one big happy group of immigrants living in peace and harmony. Like every other race and culture on the planet, they invaded new lands, fought wars, took slaves and did everything else they felt necessary to ensure their own survival.

The displacement of American Indians by European immigration, as brutal as events often where, was inevitable... If the United States did not eventually expand and settle North America, Great Britian and/or France would have and the outcome would have been no less violent for all who were involved...

I don't think it was temperature related. The Air Force, Navy and Army members didn't want to listen to all the BS things being said about how great a president Carter was. The Marines didn't need ear protection because they couldn't comprehend what was being said. :A Stirring: :A Outta:

That may well be true, but there are only 57,000 permanent residents on the whole glacier bound island and they are not even self-sufficient for basic services.
So true.

Most danes doesn`t mind Greenland becomes 100% independed, with their own policeforce, army, educational institutions, civic institutions, healthcare institutions etc etc. But right now its not an option. Right now they recieve free healthcare, free education(if they want it) and equal danish wages for their jobs. If US takes over all this Greenland in short time look like an indian territory in the Dakotas with casino mafia and very poor people. I doubt Trump has any true interest in the inuit people in general. Internationally wise Greenland does play a keyrole in context to US security towards China and Russia which most danes do acknowledge, but the only thing the US has to do is to ask, and they can pretty much do what they want in Greenland military wise which they do already.

Trump Jr. went to Greenland here the other day to hand out free MAGA caps. I doubt just 24hours before this T Jr. didn`t even know where Greenland was or have heard about it..:LOL.

If the current Greenland residents are for it and benefit what leg do the Chinese stand on? And just exactly when did Trump use military force to take over another country or territory? I don’t see anything that supports an argument that Trump is threatening to take Greenland by force?

I also like to discuss this .

And I've never been happy with our government - who is these days?

"In a separate social media post celebrating his son's visit to Greenland, Trump said, “This is a deal that has to happen. MAGA. MAKE GREENLAND GREAT AGAIN!”
Greenland's Prime Minister Múte B. Egede quickly rejected the Republican's attempts at intimidation. “Greenland belongs to the Greenlandic people,” he said. “Our future and our fight for independence are our cause.”

Perhaps this is why the residents are not so happy with the Danish gov’t who have create a socialist utopia just across the water. Seems there is a foundation for mutual benefit to be had for the US and Greenland residents.

I'm not sure of the point of your post. By the way it's Phoenix Phil, not Bill. Whatever the case, I'm not sure it was intended as intimidation as much as it was interpreted that way by those who despise Trump. Personally I don't care that much for him either, but I seriously don't see any hostile intents coming from him in regards to Greenland.

As far as I know Greenland is a territory of Denmark, however also listed as autonomous. I'm not sure how you can be listed as a territory of one country yet be autonomous at the same time. But assuming the autonomous part means they can choose to tell Denmark to hit the road and that's what they want, and wish to increase cooperation with the USA, then so be it.

As mentioned Denmark seems to have created quite the socialist utopia for themselves while excluding the residents of Greenland. So if they wish to break off and make life better for themselves, using their resources as bargaining leverage, why should you or anyone else oppose?

I certainly don't, I would prefer they cozy up with the USA or at least some other NATO country versus Russia or even China.
