I do not. Care to share what she said? Thanks in advance.
You all are cheap buggers.

In retrospect, I regret taking the meeting. He wanted me to collaborate on a kids’ version of Mein Kampf, but we couldn’t agree on an illustrator. He wanted Eva Braun, but the sample sketches he showed me were shit.

On what grounds, I wonder.

If DOGE isn't being paid out of the US Treasury, free people can make all the recommendations they want. And they can't be stopped from providing advice to POTUS. It's no different than us emailing our congresscritters on any given bill.

what they will likely do (what I would do if I didn't want DOGE to function well or properly) will be try to avoid giving DOGE access to anything of value..

you cant make a recommendation if you don't know anything about the organization you are making recommendations on...

"they're private citizens... they'll have access to PII! that is against the law!"

"they're private citizens.. they'll have access to HIPPA information! that is against the law!"

"they're private citizens.. they don't have the appropriate security clearance! that is against the law!"

"they're private citizens.. they arent allowed to see sealed records! that is against the law!"

Thank you for sharing good sir. That is a FABULOUS freaking response!!!!!

Cheap? I am just not the social media butterfly my daughters are...

Not cheap... just can't be bothered with that form of social media. I just don't have the patience.

On the revocation of the security clearances. Trump and DOGE need a top to bottom review of all security clearances. I know all entities are required to do them now. But, far too often senior people some how slide into retirement and still hold their clearance. Ans therefore are leaked info from inside sources. CIA director Brennen is one who kept his long after he should have held it. The reason he was allowed to keep it was the dirty work he was doing for the left.

In my peon world. My clearance level would be lowered in short order as soon as I didn’t have the need to know any longer. Then would have to go through all the hurdles to re gain it 6 months later. We didn’t just move around for years with the same levels. We would usually float on a TS then for tighter levels, have to be re authorized for access. Also in my Peon world. I would still be in prison for doing what Hillary Clinton and many others have done with classified material.

So..Trump want to deport how many paperless immigrants... Tens of thousands..? Who will replace them to do jobs that the average americans dont want..?

No matter how you slice it they are a part of the american economy..

If you're unfamiliar with Cesar Chavez, you maybe should take a read here, it'll give you some history about the man. He was quite opposed to illegal immigration arguing those here illegally were keeping the wages down of the workers he put so much effort into unionizing and increasing their standard of living. Ironic isn't it, or is it actually?

Well, Trump has re-designated DOGE, undercutting the lawsuits filed earlier. It is now part of his WhiteHouse team.
Trump seems sharp (witness long inauguration speech, with constant eye contact with the crowd, vs. Biden glued to teleprompter) and seems relaxed and at home behind the desk again.
Will he be able to wake at 3am and go to bed at 12 pm as he did month after month in first administration? He is a hard worker.
Trump is already showing that he intends to keep his campaign promises, just as he tried to do in his first administration except for all the persecution from the left. Breath of fresh air compared to lying "do anything to get elected" politicians.
Biggest reason you can rest easy IMHO? TRUMP WANTS TO BE REMEMBERED AS A GREAT PRESIDENT. Thankfully, his idea of greatness is opposite Obama's idea of greatness. Trump is rooted in Constitutional conservatism when it comes to judicial appointments, and America first policies. And has a respect for our country and heritage.

Is it just me, or does it seem Trump has used the last 4 years to prepare to hit the ground running these next four years? Witness the already written directives on sex vs gender. He learned the hard way from the first term...
We were in a lifeboat floundering around--now we have a captain.

Awesome! Her wit is razor sharp. Engage at your own risk.

Oh, and yes, I am a cheap bugger!

@PHOENIX PHIL ..... THANK YOU!!!!

So many people have no idea of Cesar Chavez and the ones that do think he was some sort of left wing saint fighting for the rights of illegals; when in reality he despised illegal immigration.

The slogan of "YES WE CAN!" was of his creation and he meant - Yes we can, stop illegal immigration.

He wanted all migrant farm workers to be legal and unionized.

But if there is one thing that the profiteers of illegal immigration hate more than closed borders, it's organized labor...... you can only take advantage of U.S. citizens so much, but you can exploit illegals to no end.... especially when you claim the moral high ground in doing so.

All true, but budget and manpower are (mostly) a matter of public record.

Seems to me that POTUS has plenary power to order the disclosure of non-sensitive data coming out of executive agencies. If bureaucrats and appointees dig in their heels, likely grounds for termination for cause - insubordination.

Get a bunch of the welfare and unemployed flakes off their asses. They either work or lose their handouts. I can condone LEGAL immigrants entering the country to work. Many are highly skilled or professional people looking for opportunities.
I would wish the same for my country.
But nothing happens here.

Things are a bit different these days...

I wont be exact on the "rules" here.. (doing this from recollection rather than citing the actual regulation)..

If you have a hold a Secret clearance and then leave a position that requires it (retire, quit, move to another job, etc) your clearance goes into an inactive status for 5 years. If at any time within those 5 years you re-enter a position or situation where you require a clearance, the clearance can be re-activated without doing a follow on background or any additional investigation, etc..

For a TS, the window is 2 years..

Until very recently the US Govt had suspended re-investigations for security clearances... once you held a clearance you were just put into a "continuous evaluation" cycle where periodically some aspect of a clearance investigation (check your credit, check your criminal history, check your foreign contacts, etc) may or may not be conducted for an indefinite period of time.. within the last couple of years the govt has finally gotten back to doing periodic re-investigations for clearance holders though.. so now if you hold a Secret, you have a reinvestigation done every 10 years.. if you hold a TS a reinvestigation is done every 5 years.. this re-investigation only goes back to the last investigation you have had though meaning when you get your clearance for the first time they go back and look at all aspects of your life even back into your childhood... after that, when a reinvestigation happens, they simply go back and look at whats happened since the last time you were investigated (so in theory if you hold a TS clearance and its time for your reinvestigation, they are going to review all aspects for the last 5 years back, but arent going to concern themselves with what might have happened 6,7, 8 years ago, etc..etc..

Where people run into problems is when they either have a clearance expire (they exceed that 5 or 10 year window and don't have another investigation done or the clearance re-activated because they don't need it anymore).. or if they have their clearance revoked... if one of those things happen you're pretty much screwed.. to obtain a clearance again means going back to the drawing board, reapplying and going through the entire process to obtain the clearance again... (if you were revoked for cause, you're likely never getting the clearance back)..

in the case of a clearance suspension (the words being used by the trump administration) all that means is you are not allowed to use your clearance or to work in any capacity that requires a clearance while an investigation is being conducted to determine if your clearance will be reinstated or revoked..

I would suspect that the intention in this case is obvious.. Trump wants these clearances to be revoked for cause..

I would further suspect that in most, if not all cases, that will be the ultimate outcome..

But... the individuals do have the ability to fight the process.. and I would imagine at least a few of them have access to people with deep enough pockets to fund a legal defense for them.. or, they will find attorneys that will represent them pro-bono..

the clearance fight isn't over.. its just beginning....

but.. while the fight is going on.. none of these people will be able to touch anything that requires them to have a clearance or work in a position that requires them to hold a clearance...

If they are anywhere near actual retirement age, it might not be worth the fight (why spend the time and money, and get raked across the proverbial coals if its going to take you 1-4 years to find resolution, and you didn't intend on working past those 4 years to begin with)..

18 states (so far), have filed lawsuits against Trump's executive order on birthright citizenship.
That anchor baby loophole should have been closed long ago

Just wait for the lawsuits on the EPA and environmental regs, there will be 1000s by the middle of the summer.

I am of two minds of this. Someone gets a work visa, gets married and finally gets his green card. In the meantime has a kid. The kid would not be a US citizen as the parents did not get their green cards until after the kid was born. The kid would be in limbo.

I agree on closing the loophole where people come in 5 months pregnant, have their kid and leave.
