OK. One of you true believers walk me through Trump's announcement a few minutes ago that the US will "take over" the Gaza Strip. I was listening when he said it. As I remember the vast majority were apoplectic that we simply built a very unsuccessful pier to supply aid under Biden. You also will have to help me with that whole end state concept as well. This looks like a truly indefinite mission to me.

All that said, I think it might indeed be a worthy if very dangerous project. Though, it is something we haven't tried in the Levant since Lebanon (let's ignore that whole embassy thing). I am simply curious how the anti-nation building crowd squares this particular circle with their leader. Perhaps city state building isn't the same as nation building?

Then again, perhaps he sees this as simply a real-estate deal made possible through the relocation of the Palestinian people? To countries who do not want them? Just asking.

I was listening and I have to admit, he is correct, Gaza is uninhabitable. The best thing for Gaza would be scorched earth and then remediate to buffer farmland. Now how you get other Arab nations, who hate these folks, to give them land and build them a country is completely beyond me. I sure hope we don’t take on either the repurposing of Gaza or the construction of a new homeland.

Pam Bondi has been confirmed. She’ll make a fine AG.

Definitely like Bondi in the AG job… that was a solid pick I believe..

I’m not convinced he expects anyone to take them in…

I’m thinking this is more of a move to prove that quite no one on the planet wants them or thinks they are on the side of right other then the extreme leftists…

Just another way to vilify and expose the AOC’s, Omar’s, Talibs, and university protest idiots… removing their support, quelling their voice, etc etc..

In 30 days when the message becomes “the Egyptians won’t take them, the Jordanians won’t take them, even the Iranians who have sponsored them won’t take them… but you idiots think they’re the good guys????”

It will be interesting to see the moves the extreme leftists tries to make..

That… or… it’s an opening offer…

“Hey Egypt… hey Iran.. hey Syria.. hey Lebanon… don’t want us to have a military base in Israel? You might want to think about what you want to do to get this mess in order…”

I heard someone say once that if the whole world had indoor plumbing and reliable HVAC that 90% of the shooting would stop.
Pure conjecture of course but I figured it might get the ball rolling.
No, the Ft Hood shooter and all other US terrorists had all that and more plus education.

And now the circus clowns are all screaming into any microphone they can find claiming “we are at war”,,,,, which translates to “we are elected to Congress senate etc., so we will rally our thug idiot supporters to cause mayhem and kill or injure people, just don’t expect us to get in harms way”…….. what they keep failing to realize that as of an hour ago, there’s a new sheriff in town……. Give these fraudsters enough rope…..

While moving an entire people to a new location is certainly not a novel idea. Doing it in the current world and time seems an almost impossible task unless numerous countries buy in and help support it.

Can an empty Gaza be turned into the Beirut of the mid 20 century, certainly. Do I want American involvement in it, absolutely not.

This makes me wonder if Trump's statements are an opening offer to other countries to come up with a plan. ie: Egypt take the Palestinians and we will help build you a modern Macao/Monte Carlo with a thriving economy and income stream to offset the headaches you are about to inherit. This is certainly not what Trump said, but he does have a way of making outlandish statements prior to starting negotiations.

Yeah, I think the “The Squad” needs to go over there to sort things out and NOT come back to the US until they have it all figured out. Trump can cancel their passports once they’re over there. LOL

Just saw the cut away of Netanyahu when Trump said America would be taking over Gaza. Trump may have been telling Israel that they would not be getting Gaza if the Palestinians are moved out. No clue if that was the messaging Trump was conveying with his comments. Just another piece that may or may not be apart of the jigsaw puzzle.

Maybe the Palestinians could migrate to North Yemen? Seems nobody else wants them.

@mdwest You make an excellent point that I hadn't thought of.................no one wants the Palestinians.....but President Trump just proved that to the World. Quite possibly the main reason for his comments. I have always been puzzled that other Arab nations won't take them......but I understand better now. Sadly, for the Palestinians......their Hamas leaders also hate them.....and that was probably a bitter lesson for them to learn............FW Bill

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
