That’s sad.
I would think the tour company in Zambia would have a waiver to be signed by participants before going anywhere near any wild animals be it a duiker or an elephant. I don’t trust any animal, domestic or wild!

Trump will take back the Panama Canal. Looks like Panama has agreed to Trumps demands and will be removing China from the ports after the current agreement runs out in a couple years.

America will own Gaza. Egypt, Jordan and the entire Middle East are now discussing issues they have never dreamed they would agree to. Out of the box idea after 70 years of trying every other idea and it not working.

America will buy Greenland. The people of Greenland evidently prefer to be American than Danish and like the idea of American investment in natural resources. This might happen.

Canada and Mexico get 25% tariffs for not stopping drugs and securing their border. Canada and Mexico send troops to the border and get a 30 day reprieve. Evidently Canada saying there was virtually no drug traffic coming over the border have now busted the largest fentanyl lab in the world and taken back over 100 people on the terrorist watch list that came over the Canadian border.

Canada will be the 51st state. Canada is letting Chinese products flow duty free into America. My thoughts are Trump hates Trudeau/Freeland and doesn't want to deal with them. Trudeau is trying to postpone elections till October instead of calling immediate elections. Trump is putting pressure on Canadian voters for early elections and a change to the conservative party. If Poilievre becomes PM, in my opinion the rhetoric will end and the relationship between the two countries will be back to normal. If not it will be more of the same.

Trump makes outlandish statements to break the stalemate and start negotiations at the high end. It hasn't been a month. We have 47 more to go. Doubt it will stop.

If Zelensky can cut it as a dollar for dollar (military equipment) deal, it would be a bargain for both countries.

I appreciate the optimism. I just don’t see Ukraine that is “allied” with the U.S. actually doing something to monetarily support us. This is a one-sided relationship. Similar to a greedy girlfriend. I’m pretty sure they are in the hole hundreds of billions overall. I hope my pessimism is proven inaccurate for the sake of the country.

Evidently the loans secured by minerals was agreed to in principle. Bessent went to Ukraine this week to work out the details. In the meantime the EU pushed Zelensky not to do the deal. It didn't happen. Doubt there will be any favors toward Ukraine in the peace negotiations.

That Trump fellow decided to cost me a small fortune today. After demanding Europe spend 5% of GDP on defense (we spend 3.5) and assuring the electorate the US Military would receive new investment, he casually announced that he would meet with Xi and Putin, all three would sing kumbaya, and the US could cult defense spending in half. I guess we are going to not only turn our back on the world but disarm as well. What could go wrong? I would wager there are still defense reduction plans moldering in the bowels of the Pentagon from the thirties. They certainly prepared us for 1941.

I am all for cutting defense structure, but programs - i.e. warfighting capability has proven irresistible to every budget cutter since the Civil War.

I was part of a presentation today from a very well known national polling firm, it was for a small group of their corporate clients. They were in the field over the weekend and the beginning of this week, they recorded the highest national right track number since 2003. The next four years for Trump is a marathon through a mine field, but he isn't loosing anyone at this point.

I don't take the possibility of Canada's statehood literally, but good assessment overall...

I have not seen an official poll, so I cannot confirm your assertion. But, I honestly believe the Canadians who possess common sense and not react as if they have never heard Trump speak for the first time, appreciate the humor in it and are also enjoying watching Trudeau and his supporters squeal...

Your response reminds me of the old adage, ‘when all you have is a hammer, every problem is a nail’. Canada has been a strong ally since well before the US became a superpower. Insulting Trudeau is one thing, going out of your way to insult an entire nation is another. It is unnecessary and unhelpful.

Oh, and you don’t need a poll, talk to a few Canadians, you’ll get the idea. Better yet, lace up and jump on the ice with them.
