Jack Keane was just interviewed on Fox regarding the Ukraine situation. I found the interview to have been informative and spoke much to what has been discussed (argued) here over the last few pages. Too soon for the interview to have been uploaded. Perhaps someone can attach a link later today.

He was excellent as usual.

The gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands in this forum is better entertainment than any soap opera.
You may not ascertain anything from the facts, opinions, and ideas discussed in this forum but I for one and I am very certain many others find ALL the information of great value. I read every post, some of which may confirm my opinions and others oppose them. I do consider them all! Additionally, often our colleagues provide their sources which I seek out and study.

The above intellectual injection is combined with my daily reading of several news sources. All of this information is dovetailed into my lifelong knowledge base and the wisdom I’ve developed.

As for President Trump’s actions much I agree with but whatever he is doing toward Ukraine seems like the end of a long marriage. Emotionally painful and something one doesn’t have any power to stop. It in some ways feels like going to war, not knowing all the details and hoping the generals will make the right decisions. I hope Trump’s plans include secret twists and turns that in the end will smack Putin so hard he lands in a GULAG.

For what it is worth and a little bit of a conspiracy theory, Blackrock is ready to cash in on rebuilding Ukraine. Anything is possible and somethings are very probable…

It is truly beyond belief. He’s just making stuff up. My biggest concern about him was
In foreign policy. However, I never imagined it could be this bad.
I mentioned months ago that the only way Trump could end the war in Ukraine "on day One" as he stated would be to capitulate to Putin's demands.

For that comment I was told I had a TDS by the MAGA sycophants on this forum.

Unfortunately, time is proving me right.

Good article written a couple of weeks after the Russian invasion dealing with some of the precursors of the war.

With all do respect, this may be the most singularly biased review of this period of history that I have yet read. And no I don't feel like going into a point by point review. I am sure many here will find it compelling.

I'd rather it went towards the deficit.
I thought this was the whole idea behind DOGE , reduce spending to bring down the debt . But they’ve lied a time or two before.

Alls that I know is our daughter won’t talk to us because she thinks we cost her the job she has been working for for years. I know this will pass with time but pretty damned painful for now.

How did you cost her her job?

If the Trump administration takes a deep dive into the DOD , Im certain they could find 8% in wasteful spending
They should take the recovered funds and then ad them to an 8% increase to build up our defenses instead of an 8% reduction. Then go beat the hell out of Putin and his clowns.

My wife and I voted for Trump, she correlates that with us supporting DOGE, before she was let go I told her that I didn’t agree with the method they were going about things but I agreed with the concept.
She’s just really stressed right now, they just relocated closer to her CDC office by buying a house and then her husband was deployed to Germany with his naval reserve unit.
It will pass but as said earlier she’ll land on her feet.

It is truly mind-boggling to hear what comes out of Trumps mouth. If the situation was not so serious, it would almost be funny.

I'm thinking that part of the reason he is now acting the way he does is simple vanity. The European leaders have not sufficiently been sucking up to him, and he knows he is less well liked than probably any of his predecessors.

So therefore, he does not mind burning a few bridges, alienating the US from its long-term allies, just to 'show them' - like a stubborn child. I have a hard time believing that he has US interests as his first priority - at least when it comes to foreign relations.

So sorry to hear that.

Very sorry to hear how things are shaking out..

My guess is she’s a pretty brilliant young lady… she’ll definitely land on her feet and likely stay in industry, doing exactly what it is she wants to do…

That is unfortunate. Even though I can appreciate the Trump administration trimming the fat from the federal government, I feel that there could be too much collateral damage to some people that are passionate about their jobs, and the good that they can do in those sectors.

They could probably find more than 8%. If I can remember correctly many army posts have wildlife departments and the like. It would be a shame to cut these programs but desperate times. I think that large areas of Bragg - Liberty - Bragg had huge areas off limits because of the red cockaded wood peckers. Benning - Moore did also. Great for a National Wildlife Refuge but not so much for a military post.
Hopefully that has changed .

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
