Can one say “good riddance”, even if you weren’t actually here? Asking for a friend.

He’s not asking for tariff changes to remove the tariffs on Mexico and Canada he’s asking them to secure the border. Although I haven’t heard an outline of what the metric is to determine if they’ve met that goal.

How could you know if we’ve met the goal , he never gives the same answer twice when asked about the tariffs

Freeland is now asking for nuclear arms backup from UK and France against that evil invasive USA. Is the 49th parallel to become a DMZ? Cry havoc and let slip the Canadian raccoons of war? The tariff war is immediately "solvable" with equal tariffs. Canada has more internal problems that the US is not part of.

Unfortunately the U.S. is a part of it, the trade war trump started is going to likely cost the conservatives an election that they would of taken a strong majority in if trump would of stuck to his word and renegotiated nafta in 2026 like he negotiated and signed to do.

It would be geese not raccoons

I wonder too. I'm not wondering about whether Grok read my Mauser M03 Blog. It didn't. There, I have a post with video examples of Blaser R8s failing to fire. From these, I wouldn't take one on a hunt for anything more dangerous than a rabbit.
I own and love great examples of all sorts of rifles including classic Mausers. But, the R8 is the finest made factory rifle on the planet. I have taken mine or used one just about everywhere, thus far, on four continents including two of my cape buffalo. Never a bobble. Only rifle that ever failed me in the field was a custom .375 built on an FN action. You can find a wealth of Blaser Mauser debate through the search function.

No Canada is the only nation I know of stupid enough to sink our own carriers intentionally.

I looked up Canada military stats when this conversation started a couple weeks ago, I was honestly shocked. I think at one point in the earlyish 20th century, Canada had the 4th or 5th largest troop force in the world, now it is equal to Guatemala. I don't know if that was a slow erosion or if there was some punctuated point that spurred the reduction?

A combination of both , what is worse than that Trudeau has given away almost everything that wasn’t nailed down and made no effort to rearm our forces.

Bill c-243 1968 Pierre Trudeau is the catalyst for the deterioration of our military lack of spending and budget cuts by successive governments also played there part.

Nothing good comes from a Trudeau in power

The Canadian Air Force is what I find most appalling… 18 CF-18’s that were built in the early 1980’s is all that remains of Canadas offensive or defensive fixed wing capability… of which my understanding is less than half are air worthy at any given time…

That’s a huge air space to cover with such a tiny number of borderline ancient aircraft..

It’s one of the worst NATO offenders, only spending 1.37% of GDP last year…

Which leaves what at one time was truly an outstanding fighting force under equipped and under supplied..

I’ve worked closely with a handful of former Canadian light infantrymen and JTF-2 guys over the years… they were truly fine soldiers… professional, motivated, and well trained..

It’s shameful what Trudeau has allowed the country’s armed forces to become..

I’ve got to correct myself , HMCS Bonaventure was sold to Taiwanese breakers I had her confused earlier with HMCS Annapolis which was sunk of the cost of British Columbia to form an artificial reef.

Apparently as Canadians we don’t sink our carriers we sell them off to be made into soup cans my mistake.

(Sold by Pierre Trudeau anyone seeing a pattern?)

I have read in a couple places they have 4 diesel subs and one is in dry dock at the moment with an unspecified date of return.

They have more coast line, when including the arctic region, than any county on earth.

They have more coast line, when including the arctic region, larger than any county on earth.

The maiden voyage of one of those subs lead to the death of a Canadian forces member and injured 8 others.

Absolutely Shameful

Edited to clarify my comments are in regards to my northern neighbor's military readiness.

That’s what makes it so frustrating when we actually had a chance to elect a leader that wanted to rebuild are military repeal a series of needless gun laws and cut wasteful spending only to watch it all be torpedoed by an unnecessary trade war.

Trump has done more damage to the conservatives in Canada than any targeted foreign election interference ever could. Through outright lies on trade imbalances and giving the liberals a target to rally the country against.

Re your gracious invitation, please allow me to take a raincheck. I'm sure I would enjoy your company and your surrounds greatly at some point in the future, but for the moment I need to keep my distance from Americans. It could lead to you learning some new swear words. I don't think I'm alone in this. It would be hard for me to describe how deeply I am troubled about what your administration is doing to the world. Despite all the signs and alarm bells, obvious for decades, the American electorate has allowed itself to be scammed into choosing a man who is without question one of the most flawed human beings ever to seek high office; a man who is utterly unfit to be President of the United States and leader of the free world. With only a shadow of a doubt, I believe Americans will come to regret their choice, soon and significantly. Notwithstanding, I wish each of you good health and happiness, in the difficult times ahead. :)
I think a lot of europeans are thinking the same way(unfortunately). The Vile and egodriven leadership in the US are tearing down many old established relations between America and the rest of the world. It should be of no surprise if the americans in just a few years has isolated them themself to a point they see all outside as a potential enemy( paranoia). Overhere we see more and americans establish themselfs for good. They leave the US because living overhere in many aspects are better and life in the US are becomming unbearable for many. Many americans who have lived overhere for some years experience the cultural shock when returning for a visit. Many leave because they can not see a retirement ahead in the country they onced loved.

Agreed. And I'm glad you've had no problems. They're beautifully made. The early posts in my blog trace my long and difficult decision making process; Blaser vs Mauser. For amusement, here's the post with the videos mentioned, all stumbled upon. Let's take any further discussion elsewhere. :)

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!
