I think it would be a good start if Trump and his government sober up and stop lying about the amount of Ukraine aid and just about everything else..

FYI, Trump has stopped all mil. aid to Ukraine..even the equipment that stand ready in Poland.

I think you misunderstood the "contribution" part of it. No money changes hands. They are just supposed to spend the 2% on their OWN defence forces. The fact they spent it elsewhere does not mean anyone else spent more to make up for it.

The one consequence for the USA was that our defence industry made less money selling them weapon systems. Of course, with EU countries reconsidering their weapon purchases due to Trump's actions vis a vis Ukraine will impact the defence industry even more down the line.

Not sure who you are referring to on this forum? I've never criticized Bolton for wanting to eliminate Iran's nuclear capabilities.
Iran is a clear and present danger to the entire middle east, and abroad. Personally, I would like to see Iran turned into a radioactive wasteland for the next 500 years.
As fars as Trump's threats against the terrorists of the middle east, and what the Trump hater's perceive as confusing and questionable diplomacy against Russia......you simply can not use the same tactics against the two.
Hamas, Houthis, and Iran are nothing but savage animal's that dont have the military might to start WW3.
Russia is controlled by a cunning, cold, and calculating unpredictable madman, with his fingers on the launch buttons of thousands of nuclear weapons.
Russia requires a much different approach in diplomacy. You can't threaten them in the same manner as the savages.

It is very concerning that he would even think, let alone say this. I assume that it would require a constitutional convention, a bar he will never pass, and a can of worms no one wants to open.

He is helping us out of our slumber, albeit rudely.
60% of arms purchases from 31 non-US NATO states go to the American arms industry.
Certainly not for much longer.
