Brent has been a member of this forum for many, many years and he is entitled to offer his views and opinions just like anyone else...

You have been on here about two minutes, yet your attitude is cocky and condescending to those who have opinions that differ from yours... That is a distinct sign of immaturity that detracts credibility from any so-called contributions that you think you are making...
In which case the collective would have had the choice to voice their opinion.

Another post that demonstrates that you very clearly don't get it...

It's not for you, or anyone on here to decide whose contributions are valuable and who's are not... It's supposed to be a discussion of ideas, not a series of lectures which is what it has become lately...

I had a similar experience in Togo. Luckily, like you, I never travel in those areas without Cipro.
Hell, I never go anywhere overseas without cipro, a zpack and cephalexin! Especially to remote African camps. For the guys on here that have never been to Africa, listen up!

You’ve got a claimed history in business and I’ve got no reason to doubt you sincerely so I’ll pose the same question to you I asked @mdwest. Take away his leverage his inherited money and his family name. Now he’s just Donnie from up the street would you do business with him knowing he’s proven liar , prone to public bombastic statements, prone to hostile business practices and prone to going bankrupt sticking other people in the process?

Sense when do you need to be a country men to point out character flaws in a public figure? You yourself have offered criticism on any number of topics from far beyond the boarders of your country.

As to your comments on my character I’ll gladly go toe to toe with you in a public opinion poll with the loser leaving the forum permanently, Care to dance that card?

I'm not jumping into the personal dick measuring contest but I'm going to make a couple of comments about just Donnie.

I will preface by saying that I will never follow one man or party off a cliff. We've all made mistakes and we all should be held accountable for them.

Firstly, the man has an incredible work ethic, he does not stop, he does not quit, he keeps going. The man can run circles around men 20-30 years his junior, and more in some cases. We all watched the past four years which were a vulger display of elder abuse for political gain.
There is no comparison in the work ethic of those two men.

Second, I would bet everything i own, even my dog, my pinky toes and my left testicle that not a single contributor to this thread, could stand up to the weight of a weaponized judicial system, the corporate media, the Uniparty, the Leftists, BLM, the Gay Mafia, Antifa, the Never Trumpers, the Neocons, Billionaire haters, the EU, the WEF, Hollywood, Silicone Valley and a BULLET only to come out Victorious and stronger!

He may have licked the red off of your sucker, he may have caused your portfolio to take a temporary dip, he may have butthurt your feelings by one of his offhand comments. He may be the Devil to you, but give the Devil his do... just Donnie is one tough Son of a Bitch!

I’ll give you that he has shown great mental strength in the face of all he has had to deal with. He seems to be quite spry for his age although his mental abilities seem to not be what they once were. The constant rambling and frequent pauses in his speech would give me concern if he were an elderly family member. I’ve said on here repeatedly if I were an American voter I’d of voted for him not happily but I’d of done it. I don’t believe in spoiling ballots and of two pour choices he appeared at the time to be the better.

Doesn’t change one point I’ve made he is still all of the things I’ve listed and very few would choose to do business with him without the leverage he controls.

I cant disagree. I’ve voted for the man in three elections, every time with misgivings but an alternative that was light years worse. He does things I applaud, others that worry me, and some that flat piss me off. However, I cannot fault his work ethic or drive.

We`ve learned english from our previous overlords..:LOL Arab will be next.
Seems you will miss English soon enough.

I’m a quarter Danish, half Norwegian and a quarter German. Our family is not too far removed from Europe. My maternal grandmother’s lineage goes back to King Olaf of Norway and my maternal grandfather’s lineage goes back to a tutor for a former King. I’ve got a genealogy binder two inches thick with the family lineage all listed out in detail. We have visited family over there a few times. My great grandparents did not arrive in the USA until after the US Civil War. In our limited experience, Europe has changed a great deal and not for the better. None of us have any desire to live there after our visits. I have friends from France who have moved their businesses and families to Belgium. France is also doomed, they tell me.

The USA definitely has problems but our family has steered clear of them, as most on this website probably have done as well. Your media likes to focus on negative issues and it just adds to your superiority complex. How convenient. Your insults about the USA are noted but Europe has lots of problems as well. A few of them that come to mind are socialism, dependency on the American military and arrogance. Many Americans are tiring of it. Time to pay your 3% of GDP for defense and maybe, just maybe, say “thank you” once in a while to USA veterans and military families who have defended you for generations. Perhaps it is too much to ask but I would think not.

Similar to what Russia just did recently?
You'll have to help me with what obscure point you are attempting to make. The short answer is no. The Russians do not hold military parades for their dictator's birthday. Big military parades are more of a Third World kind of thing tied to historical events. For instance, the Russians do hold a massive military parade each year on May 9th to celebrate the Red Army's victory over Nazi Germany. (or they did until they ran out of tanks to drive in it). Perhaps Trump can be the one to set an example for Putin to follow?

The only two prominent leaders who have held military and national events for their birthdays of which I am aware are Kim Jong Un for his grandfather's birthday and Adolf Hitler, whose 50th birthday was celebrated by a massive military display in Berlin in 1939. I don't think even Putin thinks it is altogether wise to keep that company.

Like yourself, I am Norwegian on my dad's side, Danish on my mothers. My great grandfather's immigrated from the ancestral motherlands.
My grandmother had a genealogy book put together on our family lineage. She passed on years ago, and I never got to see that book.
Not sure where it is now?

People in Europe have known for a long time what an idiot Trump is, and not just because of his nonsense about tariffs. In Germany, people are ashamed that Trump has German roots.

Putin and Hamas etc are definitely not in the background, this idea is absurd. Perhaps Americans, unlike Europeans, are unable to deal with more than one issue at the same time?
Congratulations German troll. Will be using the ignore feature on you and guessing I’m in good company.

Not obscure, but I should have been more concise.
Recently, Russia had a military parade, basically doing the same thing.
I'm not sure what Trumps motives are? Maybe he wants to show our military might in return? Not to be outdone by Russia.? I don't know?
Whatever his reasons, I'm not happy about spending $100 million dollars on grandeur, or a birthday celebration.
I do support honoring the 250th anniversary of the army........for a reasonable cost.

You and I are tracking. Yes, the birthday thing would be more than just a little problematic, and I am glad to see it was apparently nipped in the bud. For obvious reasons that makes the Army's formation date of June 14th problematic for a major parade. A joint service event tied to July 4th might make more sense. :E Shrug:

Though I can't imagine the road damage if tracks rolled across asphalt in the middle of a DC summer.

Here's a fun one, and a little change of topic.
The New York Times, Mar 16, 2025 "We were badly misled about the event that changed our lives".
In the article, the NYT admits that Covid came from the Wuhan Lab (duh) but alleges that they were misled... victims of misinformation. Wrong. They were a propaganda arm of the Biden Administration who fobbed censorship and misinfo on US. Where was investigative journalism?? They admit no guilt, offer no apology. The article shows old emails acknowledging that experts knew it in 2020. The ONLY reason I can see for this denial, was TDS........(evident in some posts above). This was one of the two or three biggest lies perpetrated in the last century, so if you're really concerned about the govt lying to you don't focus on President Trump. He called it "The China Virus"......and it turns out that it was just that. ....................FWB
