After 8+ years I actually found primers and powder fully stocked on a retail shelf.

All versions of primers from large rifle magnum to small pistol

We are somewhat behind this situation down here in New Zealand but it's good to see some level of normal returning for our American mates. We do catch up here eventually and there are signs here that this is coming. Just hoping it causes prices to drop a bit too. Especially primer costs.

prices may come down, GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. but then again, i don,t believe in the easter bunny. i look for the best price i can find and bite the bullet.

Well I bought 1,000ct large rifle primers and it was $24 cheaper out the door vs what I bought off midway a couple months ago!… so maybe nature is healing itself ;-)

And Australia is even slower than new Zealand so we will still have to wait a while.
Rumour has it that the manufacturers of our ADI powders will get their act together this year and start producing 2295/H110 and some pistol and shotgun powders but I won't hold my breath.

I find it more fun shooting the bullet ( when they are available) than biting the bullet.
Biting the bullet can result in chipped and cracked teeth resulting in a visit to the dentist
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

I live in Central Ohio, but drive to my property in Florida frequently and Vans in Cullman, Alabama is always a stop on the way. Shelves are always full on powder, primers, brass and bullets. Last week Tina and I stopped in and scored 2,000 Federal LR Match Magnum primers, Barnes X 308 and 30-06 ammo and some fishing gear.

In Ohio, Fin-Feather-Fur, aka the Fin in Ashland usually has well stocked shelves. Last year they had old stocks of Federal 7x30 Waters that I scarfed up at a great price.

Another store in Ohio that is a direct danger to my credit card is Sportsman's Den in Shelby, Ohio.

The local mom and pop owned stores seem to be much better at stocking the reloading gear than any of the big brand stores.

I think some pistol powders have been produced and even hit the market in December.
There were different reasons thrown around as to why it was not in production but ADI did make a public statement sometime back saying production runs were being deferred at the time.

@Bob Nelson 35Whelen I can't be too critical of ADI regarding common rifle powders. We had a phase here of no American or European powders being supplied for a year or so. Many shooters with favourite loads developed with these were left high and dry. But ADI, bless them, who I imagine were under heavy pressure to supply demand in other huge markets did not forget the Kiwis and sent a couple of shipments of popular powders our way. They were small shipments that got snapped up immediately and would have helped out immensely for those most desperate shooters. Gotta respect ADI for that.
Probably the most common complaint here re ADI is the absence of Trailboss powder which has been absent for a long, long time. But I hear there is supply not too far away now.

If you're looking for pistol powders I hope your wishes come true, and soon. In fact I hope we all soon have our pick again of the full range of powders. Supply breakdowns are just no good for anyone.

I understand the thinking of ADI and the issues they had. I made it hard for a lot of people. Fortunately I have plenty of the powders I use and was able to help a few people out with 2205 and primers during the shortages. These people were amazed I sold them the powder at the same price I paid and didn't charge what some were asking. I didn't want to make money , just see them to be able to keep hunting was enough for me.

Come up the road from Texas to Tulsa and you'll find Scheels has stock of pretty much everything at the new location there.

I'm seeing a little better availability, but not much better. Primers for large and magnum rifle are still hard to find. Alliant RL series in popular variant is still a no go.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
