Qatar Airways vs Emirates

I was wondering if it was a Qatar airlines deal, or what....shipping ammo separately. I've always wanted mine inside my checked luggage personally. I'm not sure why you'd want to check them separately, personally.

I did so in a Pelican case. But that case also contained an extra scope, binoculars, gun tools etc. So it wasn't just ammo.

Over the years going on my trips.... I’ve flown Delta, Emirates, British & American. I might Qatar a shot next time.

There is a direct flight DFW to DOH on Qatar that I’ve been eyeballing...then DOH to JNB... I’ve been thinking it might be a good option for a 2020 trip over... the price just seems to fluctuate a lot...I’ve seen it as cheap as about $1100 for a RT economy seat lately though...
