@Uncontrolled_round_feed I don't know you sir, and as a matter of fact I don't personally know either of the parties involved in this debacle.
I voted no.
1.) You sound like a mighty righteous fella. I myself am deeply flawed.
2.) I haven't yet been able to identify which one is your dog in this fight.
3.) I'm not sure if I would want to buy something from the seller in the future. I am also not sure I would not want to sell something to the buyer.
4.) I don't think the use of a clown meme to belittle a fellow member is helpful.
5.) I agree with you that honor is important, no argument at all there.
6.) The whole affair is sad, and has become boring. Are we gonna divide up sides now, and split the forum? Are we gonna wind up losing way more than one member over this? I hope not. There are NOT ENOUGH OF US TO BEGIN WITH. WE ARE LOSING GROUND EVERY YEAR IN THE COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION ABOUT HUNTING. Every single one of us has important contributions to make, and that needs to continue for years to come. This needs to be the website you love to check every day, because it's fun and pleasant and educational and relevant and helpful. Please try to consider the viewpoint of a young person who might wander on to this forum, curious about the world of African hunting that we all love so much, keen to learn and contribute, and maybe help lead in the future. He or she could easily be disgusted by all this and just quietly leave. I hope that every single one of us will choose to carry themselves with dignity, and to represent our ancient and noble sport honorably. And I hope that when I make mistakes, I will be offered some grace, and a little bit of breathing room, a chance to learn from my mistakes and say I'm sorry, and a chance at redemption.
At this point I am praying that both
@Rare Breed and
@franzfmdavis will choose to find some private way to work things out to the satisfaction of both parties (that will no doubt require some old-fashioned giving and taking from both gentlemen), and then publicly "shake hands" and bury this toxic hatchet before it does even more damage to all concerned.
This is January: we just had the DSC and they had some weather and attendance issues, and we have the SCI next week and the weather again looks challenging. Many of the folks who make all this possible for us have invested their money and flown across the planet to meet us and hear from us and get to know us, and to promote this industry. Plans are being laid by many for the hunting that will happen this year and next. And this forum has been torn up for too long now over this shit show. We have so many more interesting and important things to talk about.
Gentlemen, I call on you both to please make that effort.
Offered with respect and warm regards for all.
