I need a gunsmith to work on a Sako Fiberclass 270 win. The stock has a nauseating hollow sound that I want to eliminate. The recoil pad is glued to the stock and I am not sure I can remove it without messing it up. Thanks in advance Mike

I know your question is dated and even if your question remains active. I live in VA and the only reputable gunsmith is W.A.R. Gunsmith(note the periods between the letters; not war as in battle) in Manassas Park. The gunsmith is a regional and US champion shooter and this is his passion. They did numerous gunsmithing jobs for me and I highly recommend them. The hollow sound you hear from your stock is because it is plastic. Nothing wrong with it aside from the cheap sounding hollow noise. Your recoil pad is an easy job for the gunsmith and will make it look like it came like that from the factory.

I appreciate you getting back to me on this. Long drive to Manassas but I may do it one day. Regards Mike

Wythesville? An alternative is to check a pawn shop that sells guns. There is one in Dublin that sells guns. All pawn shops that sells guns have a gunsmith or two who works on/repairs questionable guns that are hocked. If they trust them as a business, you can too.

There is a gunsmith in Chilhowie; Gunsmith Bent Horn and Jim's Firearms and Repair near Christiansburg. I can't speak to their reputation, but they are the closest to you.

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
