Reloading different bullet brands of the same weight with one type of powder

I believe you are correct, but their can be outliers.

My .470ne uses the exact same load for 500gr woodleigh weldcore SP as it does 500gr Hydro solids.

With the exact same POI
@deewayne2003
Woodleigh hydro's ride the bore and even Woodleigh says to use the same load data for the weldcore as the hydro.
Barnes banded solids in the other hand actually engrave the rifling and this may cause excessive pressure if the same powder charge is used.
The Woodleigh hydro is a rare exception to the rule

That’s why I use QL versus any manual. For my new 450 NE I looked at three powders and I love how fast I can find the one I want, load then test
@Rare Breed
I always look for the load with the highest density with the slowest powder and the velocity I want.

@PARA45
NEVER load the same powder charge behind the same weight but different projectiles.
Bullets are constructed differently. Different bearing surface, hardness, length and construction cup and core or mono.
This can and does affect pressure
My advice is when changing bullet types I always drop my charge weight by 5% and work back up to the load I need.
The same applies when changing case brands as all weight different and internal volume can be dramatically different. I have had different brands if cases vary by as much as 6 grains of powder. One case full to the top of the case and over flow while another only came to the base of the neck
with the same charge .
When ever you change a component be it projectile, case primer brand or powder lot it is advisable to start working up to your safe working load again.

Sage advice

Typically, this works well. As others have pointed out, the monometals are different and must be considered separately.
I use about every load manual I can find when looking for a new recipe. It's actually kind of rare to find the bullet(s) I have, and the powder(s) I have, to be listed together in any of the books. Weight and ogive are the similarities I start with. For instance, my load for my 9.3x74R DR can use a Nosler Partition, a Norma Oryx, a Speer Hotcore, or a Woodleigh SPRN, and all will regulate and print in the same group.
All the usual precautions should be used. Have fun!

That's why I use load from a disc
I can input the brand of bullet I want to use and it gives me a selection of suitable powders and load density with each powder and proposed pressure.
I have found over the years that reloading manuals can and do vary greatly with their loads with the same bullet. Hornady I have found is the most conservative.
At one stage I contacted Hogdon in regards to superformance powder as Hornady uses it for light for calibre bullets only. The burn rate of superformance is slower than H4831 and I questioned the data.
My reply was it had only been tested in some cals with some bullets so far.
Extensive research found others that have used superformance with heavier projectiles with charge weight similar to H4831 and got outstanding results in some cals. Higher velocity and similar or less pressure.
Each powder is a law unto itself. H4198 is a fast powder in some cases but use the same powder in say a 45-70 and the same powder is considered a slow powder.
Reloading isn't rocket surgery or brain science but it does need a bit of understanding and a BUCKET FULL IF CARE to do things SAFELY.

@Ridge Runner
That why I love CFE223. Give great velocity and superb accuracy in a few calibres I use 222,223,308 and the Whelen of course.
Works well in a myriad of other calibres as well.
May not be the best for all but comes bloody close.
I now use hodgon superformance instead of H4381 as I find it gives me higher velocity, better accuracy and long case life in my 25 with similar pressure. Also tried it in my 270 when I had one and with 130gn ACP monos I was safely getting over 3,200fps with 1" 200 yard groups out of my Stevens 200. As you know my dalliance with the 270 was short lived but those speeds and that accuracy did impress me. Fortunately that rifle made a very accurate Whelen
