This one has been hunted hard and shows a good bit of use.. the bluing isn’t perfect (its an old rifle) and theres a place on the spacer to the recoil pad that I notched a little bit when I was installing it (doesn’t hurt the gun in any way, but is a little unsightly.. Ive just never bothered to “fix” it by installing another recoil pad since it has no impact on the performance of the rifle)…
that said, there is exactly nothing wrong with the gun.. its been a super reliable rifle.. Ive personally used to take more deer and hogs that I can count.. With my handloads it’s a 1MOA gun pretty easily.. with the 2 different factory loads I have fed it (Federal blue box and Barnes Vor-tx) it shot +/- 1-1.25 MOA..
IMO it’s a nearly perfect “blind” gun or “deep woods” carbine.. with the B&C stock it is super lightweight and easy to tote around.. and because it is so compact its very easy to maneuver in a blind or from behind cover, etc.. The only reason I am getting rid of it is I upgraded to a new Christensen Mesa last year and the Remington is now just sitting in the safe collecting dust.. I figure someone else could get some good use out of it, and I’ll just reinvest the money into something else that might see more use at the mdwest house (thinking a titanium .22lr suppressor of some sort)..
I figure with all of the upgrades, and accessories provided, it easily sells on gunjoker for $1100 despite not being the prettiest option available..
The first $750 and “Ill take it” post gets it delivered to the FFL of your choosing..
Vortex Crossfire II in the pic NOT INCLUDED in the sale.. I just threw it on the gun a month or two ago to see what I thought.. it was an accidental buy and I never got around to returning it.. it’s a brand new optic (3-9x50) that’s never been shot, hasn’t been zero’d, etc.. Retails new for $239.. I plan on selling it separately (without the box, paperwork, etc.. I didn’t keep any of that) for $125 (shipped) if anyone wants it.. or will throw it in with the Rem 600 for an additional $100 (although I admit I don’t particularly like it with the 600.. it sits too high on the rings/base.. the 40mm leupold I used to have on the gun was a much better option IMO..
Listed on one other site as well..
