This was only made in 1989 as part of Remington's Classic series. It is a Remington 700 Classic, 300 Weatherby Mag with 24" barrel, 26" with the brake. Don't shoot it any more, so will sell it. Has a couple small marks on the checkering, but nothing serious. Has a professionally installed brake that works well. $875.00, shipped to the CONUS, except CA. Listed elsewhere.

How about $835.00 shipped to CONUS?

I apologise if this is a stupid question but why no shipping to california?

From what I understand, there is some additional paperwork. I am not a dealer, so I don't know about the forms.

Is the brake a Mag-n-Port and no you have the thread protecter if brake was removed?

The FFL handles it anyway and you have to do paperwork regardless of what state

Non issue - and I’m a Texan …

I don't know what brand the brake is. It was there when I bought it. No, I do not have a thread protector for it. I can't imagine they are very expensive.

Thread protectors are $10-$30 depending on what brand you go with. I have same rifle in 338 Win mag and its a hammer....an accurate hammer with a GREAT trigger. With the same recoil pad as on this one it doesnt kick at all.
Anyway, figured id chimn in on the thread protector etc. Good luck with this and im sure it will be gone shortly.

doesnt look like a Magna Break. Magna ports on their breaks are cut so the ports angle forward and they are cut in a "roll" type fashion to help keep the break tight...reverse threads as well. They also are larger and have a slight taper down to barrel. Looks like a standard gunsmith break vs a major company but it looks like it would work just fine! LOL!

Bump for puttin my 2 cents in.

Nice rifle at a good price ! I have one of these, mine shoots well. I shot a mulie in Montana with it in 2011, haven't used it much since.

This one is sold as well.

That's a wrap, on our first hunt of this years season.

Hunting conditions are a bit tougher in South Africa during the month of February, but can be just as rewarding if done right.
