Ouch. That's much worse than projected. At last count there were more than fifty political parties in South Africa. I guess the ANC will just put power up for cash bid to a group of them to create a coalition government. Here in Canada coalition governments actually sort of work better. But we really never have more than three contending parties at one time (typically no more than five that are remotely of substance). Generally, coalition governments with such a small majority don't last long, often only weeks. ANC must know they can't buy off a whole bunch of political parties and expect to stay in power long. A vote of no confidence would be much easier to put together. It is the gun to the ANC head. With a whole bunch of parties holding the trigger anything can happen anytime. And it will happen. Then another election, then immediately afterwards another, etc until some "strong man" steps in to assert some semblance of order to the confusion. We know how that usually turns out.ANC 40,27%, 99% of the votes counted.

I have been here longer than you… stow it. I am not interested in your self proclaimed morally superior opinion. No one said anything but you.Well I posted a question regarding the integrity of foreign election results in South Africa.
I’ve spent nearly ten years on this forum and know there are more than a few members who would love to bring up 2020 results and detail the thread.
Anyway, I hope the ANC doesn’t pull some tricks, and a coalition is formed that will actually help the country and its citizens.
I agree. As bad as things were/are, it can, and I'm afraid will, get worse. Things were confused but I don't see any promise that any of the contenders becoming involved in a coalition will do anything but add more instability. Fortunately, the military and police are such a joke I don't see how they can be much of a factor. Personally, I think the ANC made sure both became ineffectual to protect against any threat of a coup.
