Selling My Ruger Mark II M77 .270 Winchester stainless bolt action. Very clean and beautiful rifle. Comes with Nikon 3x9x50 scope and slung and ammo holder and camp soft gun case also have two full boxes of 270 rounds. Asking $1000 shipped. Not interested in any trades.

If I hadn’t already replaced it with a New Haven Winchester .270 stainless I would be all over this.

It’s my belief that the M77 MKII stainless is the best rifle that Ruger ever made and couldn’t find one before deer season.

No introduction of yourself, (that I saw) while at the same time welcoming others to the forum. Plain vanilla posts on a wide variety of topics as well.

I mean no offense but this is pretty typical behavior of scammers. Not saying you are one but you may consider going the extra mile in building trust for a transaction. If you’re genuine then I sincerely apologize and GLWS.

@Manwe: While some “questions” asked of a New Member immediately posting something for sale might seems harsh and even offensive - there is a reason for it….Most scammers fit a certain profile ie: New, No history, then quickly selling something etc.. Therefore many Senior members will immediately point out these concerns and challenge “New Members” with questions, this helps other members avoid getting “scammed” and provides New Members a chance to understand the reasons for skepticism and share more details about themselves and understand why their items may Not sell. It is a very good process and has valid reasons behind it, don’t take it personal, nobody knows you, this is strictly a vetting process that anyone selling On Line should expect. If you decide to stay on this forum - it’s a great one, lots of info is shared and a lot of knowledge available.

A little righteous indignation on the part of an honest man who is being gently accused of being a scammer is understandable. Still, you haven’t done anything to alleviate any concerns. In fact, getting personal and the overreaction while refusing to alleviate those concerns is, yet again, typical scammer behavior. If I’m wrong I will apologize but you really need to put in the effort here. Merry Christmas.

@Manwe - a PM would’ve been inappropriate because the reason that questions or challenges are asked openly is it to point out to ALL - there is a concern here. Lastly, the Member that first raised a concern ended his post with “if you are genuine - I apologize etc..” Your feelings have been made clear - as have the reasons for the questions & suspicion.
There are 80,000 members here and lots of great info, the Forum has worked “as is” for many years, I don’t look to change it - hopefully there are a few times that I can add some value and give something back to those that have been helpful to Me.
