RWS cases vs all others

The best brass I've used is ADG and for 5.56 and 7.62, IMI. The ADG is pricey but IMHO, worth it. I've found Norma to be softer than most other brands.

RWS is the best brass, end of story, but is it worth the price? I wish it was, but I mostly shoot PPU as its the cheapest brass out there, and its as good as WW, Rem,,..Norma IMO is just too soft and too expensive. Lapua and Nosler have good brass but if Im going to spend that kind of money I'll buy RWS..Basically I buy WW if available, same with PPU, if not then reach down into my pocket book and get RWS....which is seldom btw..Bottom line is all brass is about the same, with the exception of RWS...Mostly the difference in brass today is the condition the new brass comes from the factory, does it need to be shaped up before loading? yes it has bent lips, maybe some primer pocket clean up, whatever, but that's just time consuming and easy to do so you save a few bucks...The other best brass is IMI and its as good as RWS, but hard to come by in most calibers these days..I wouldn't get too anal about which brass I used, its all good enough...I have btw been using Hornady brass as of late, and its not up to snuff in several ways, but you can make it work, its just rough and sometimes out of specs, they have some work to do..

I have a general ranking of brass quality that I've found to be true, both in my own experience and through conversation with various competitive shooters at the range.

It goes:

Lapua & Peterson
Norma & RWS & Sako & Nosler (I believe this is just Norma anyway)
Federal & Winchester
Hornady & Remington
PPU
Milsurp.

My personal experience is with 6.5 Creed, .270win, .308win and .375H&H and second hand misc. accounts of all the popular 6, 6.5 and 7mm target rounds such as 6BR etc, plus .338lap.

Having weighed and sorted for internal capacity in my 6.5CM, Lapua has always been best in my experience. Norma is close and also seems to last as long, whilst the american stuff is thin and flimsy in comparison (although pretty consistent) and lasts a couple reloads less.

PPU in fairness might be good, but I had a bad experience early in my reloading career and now don't trust it much which may cloud my opinions.

+1 Great to deal with. I purchased custom rifle. No issues.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary
