Comrades: I am deeply appreciative of the attention this has gotten. I would really like to see it to someone who would take it on grand adventures and use it. It certainly deserves to be used. However, I really don't want anyone to suffer genital trauma as a result.
Having said that, fortune favors the bold,....

Damn its a pity its in the US!

if in SA, I would gladly buy it. Atleast for the Bras.
Unbelievable how expensive those are in SA. about to spend nearly $2000 just on reloading components for my 450/400.

Somebody really needs to jump on this. I have one in .470NE and love it....

This is a good looking rifle both in wood and engraving. I’m thinking my Merkel needs a stable mate!

PLEASE buy this rifle Charlie!

MDWEST: I feel your pain. Years ago, I saw a beautiful pre-owned stainless Rolex Datejust with a STUNNING blue dial. It was more money than I wanted to spend. It entered my dreams and every waking moment's thoughts. I eventually went back to the jewelry store in a zombie-like trance, possibly drooling a little and mumbling to myself. It rests on my wrist now- a little scratched and the veteran of two African safaris.

I pulled the Sabatti out of my safe yesterday and assembled it. I totally understood why I bought it in the first place. It's a gorgeous rifle. I just wish the money wasn't needed elsewhere.

Everyone, thank you again for the attention and comments. They make my day.

Mdwest,
Do not let the thought of castration stop you from owning this classic chambered double. Odds are she would not really do it. I’m sure your wife is a sensible woman and realizes that you need a double. I suggest book a nice trip for her to go to the spa and while she is away for the day do like any respectable husband would do and sneak the gun into the house. Slowly acclimate her to it with short periods of interaction with it so that her subconscious gets used to seeing it. Once this is complete you can come and go as you please with your old double rifle.
Buy the Gun and learn to sleep with one eye open

Beautiful rifle.
Could you post a photo of the crowns?

Im taking my sabatti double out tomorrow for a trip to the range. Only the second time so far but I'm loving it. Oh and my good lady still doesn't know i have it even though there has been 416 rigby brass on the dining table for the past month!!!

Based on your previous postings concerning the lady I suspect there is a reckoning in your future!

I have owned two sabatti's. Two friends now own them) and they but were shooters (45/70 and 450NE) The 450/400 is a fun round to work with whoever buys this will have a nice rifle.

Accipiter: I took a picture of the muzzles last night and then realized that the picture is a little blurry. I'll take another this evening.

Well had a lovely day at the range with my sabatti double. They are a super rifle at a good price

Gentlemen: I took pictures of the muzzles last night as requested.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary

Booked with Harold Grinde - Gana River - they sure kill some good ones - who'd you get set up with?
