I have been trying to get info from Heym USA on if I can mount a scope on my Heym double.

All that they have offered was a base for my Red Dot that I have never received in spite of them taking my money 16 months ago for the order.

With that dead end, does anyone have info on mounting a scope on these rifles?

Dealing with Heym USA is a joke they seldom answer the phone or call you back if you leave a msg same with their email.
From what I do understand is if it does not already have a claw mount from the factory I don’t think you will be able to add a scope unless you send it back to Germany to have one added. Maybe the few double rifle gun smiths In the states maybe Able to do it but I’m sure it won’t be cheap. My guess would be in the 2k plus range to add it.

Contact JJ Perodeau. He can add scope mounts to most any double rifle.

Be advised, the added weight of a scope may interfere with a double rifle's regulation.

Heym USA is a joke unless they/HE think you're going to buy a rifle. Otherwise they just take your money for accessories and dont respond.

But what do I know that's just my experience.....

JJ CAN DO IT AND RE-REGULATE FOR THE SCOPES WEIGHT.

I was not aware that a scope would disrupt regulation. But that makes sense. Sounds like I should stick to the Red Dot from a cost prospective. Thanks for your input.

I have an 89b in 450/400. I added a Trijicon 1moa red dot and have no regrets. It is good out to 100m and I have no intention to shoot anything further than that, in fact well closer if I can.

Hey Kevin. I'm set up the same way and very happy.

Just doing a barometer test for options.... thx

may I suggest Intaba Safaris in the East Cape by Port Elizabeth, Eugene is a great guy, 2 of us will be there April 6th to April 14th. he does cull hunts(that's what I am doing) and if you go to his web site he is and offering daily fees of 200.00 and good cull prices. Thanks Jim
Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
