Some knives I made lately

Very nice, well done. I never go bush or hunting without a good belt knife.

Peter,

Beautiful looking knives. I'm actually in the market for a quality custom knife. I have been in contact with a knife maker that I've been trying to get to make a knife for me, but he's been too busy, and keeps blowing me off. Anyway, some of your Safari style knives are almost exactly what I'm looking for in a design. I have a couple of questions:

1) Can you tell me a little more about the steels (CPM 154, 440C, D2 Steel) you use, and the construction methods employed (heat treat, cryogenic, etc.)?

2) What are the dimensions of some of your safari knives, specifically the first 2 knives pictured (Buffalo and musk ox horn, and Mammoth tusk and desert ironwood)

3) Are their any import restrictions on knives into the US? This sounds stupid I know, but anymore, I try to be as knowledgable as I can about international law, restrictions, etc.

4) What payment methods do you accept?

Again, great knives!

Hello!
1.I don't know much about the blades.
I buy them on game fairs and knife shows if I think they looks and feels good.
These two blades are very hard and I needed a diamond sharpener to sharp them.
2.The knives you asked about is 21cm long. I put some 375HH ammo beside to get something to compere with.
3.I have never sent any knives to US,only in Scandinavia, so I don't know how it's work.
4. I don't have any good payment system only a bank account.
The knifemakeing is just a hobby for me and I don't make so many because of a neck injury
and sells what make mostly local on game fairs and a local viking exhibition.
Hope you got the answers you wanted.
(It would be fun to sell one knife to the US just to see how it works.
Preferably one of my cheapest knives.)

Here is three more knives I finished yesterday:

The top two have handles of black oak found in a a swamp.
Our hunting season with dogs starts soon so I don't think I will make any new knives for a while.

Absolutely beautiful knives and if my math on the conversion rates are right, the prices are stellar too! You have a true talent my friend.

Great looking knives

They are beautiful. Thanks for the photos.

Vikingstyle knife I just finished:

Handle made of black oak(been in a swamp for some hundreds or thousand years) and brass.
Handforged Damascusblade by my"house smith".
Not exactly a hunting knife.

Like the dark oak color!

Peter, didn't you post pictures of some of your knives a couple of months ago? Do I remember correctly that you purchase the blades then add the handles? The Damascus blades look pretty, how does the edge hold up? Are these blades
high carbon steel or stainless?

Yes I purchase the blades. Tried to forge blades but have a neck wound so it didn't work at all.
Most blades are not stainless.
Shipped one to the US the other day and i got there with no problems.

I'm the one that Peter shipped the knife to in the US.

The transaction was easy and it only took 6 days to get from Sweden to Texas! I used an online wire transfer provider and it only cost me $3 to transfer the funds and was pretty painless.

Since he had never sent one to the US, I chose one of his less expensive knives for a trial order.

The knife is beautiful and seems to be well made, with good weight and balance. I couldn't be more pleased!

Thanks again @Peter Larsson !
