Soooo you got a new President...

You are in your own world. Historians have rated Obama the 15th best president in history, After this trainwreck (t RUMP), Obama's ratings will go even higher.

Considering there have only been 44 people to hold the office, being 15th puts you in a less than great position...

The question also has to be asked... "what historians?"... There are plenty of people (historians, economists, and others) that think Ronald Reagan hung the moon.. and plenty more that think he did irreparable damage to our country...

It all depends on your perspective, your values, and your political leanings..

Spending less than 5 minutes googling I found multiple "historians" ranking Obama anywhere from 12th to 19th, and 1 report that ranks him 15th (Siena College Research Institute).

This same organization ranks FDR as #1 however, when most "rankings" I have found show Kennedy, Lincoln, or Reagan in the top slot..

SCRI is generally considered to be a "liberal" organization...

A "conservative" organization, the Media Research Center, ranks Obama 9th out of 12 post WWII Presidents based on average approval ratings over the course of each presidents time in office.. this "conservative" organization places Kennedy (Democrat) in the #1 position, Clinton (Democrat) in the #4 position, and Johnson (Democrat) in the #5 position (they are clearly willing to concede based on their rating system that liberals hold 3 of the top 5 slots for "best president" despite being openly biased toward conservatives..

The people that said Obama is the 15th best President, are probably related to the same idiots that gave him the Nobel Peace Prize.

The million dollar question is " What the hell did he do to earn that distinction"?

He didn't do anything!

In 2015 my effective tax rate was 48 % - that includes payroll, state, and local. .

Now we know why you moved where you did. ;) Got rid of two of the three! Nice!(y)

I take solice each and every night that there are millions of candy azz leaches crying themselves to slept not knowing how they are going to survive Trumps term.

That's gonna be a lot of tears over the next 8 years:cool:

I would like to hear about all these promises Trump has kept. The Muslim ban doesn't seem to be working out too well for him.

How does a judge (a particularly liberal judge, in a particularly liberal city, in the extremely liberal 9th Circuit) challenging an executive order equate to a broken promise?

Trump did exactly what he said he was going to do, and issued the order.

And most attorneys and legal academics I know as well as both the liberal and conservative pundits that offer legal commentary on the major networks are in agreement that what the judges in California, Washington, and Hawaii have done is little more than present a speed bump. They will either rule in favor of the executive order after all the facts are presented, or their ruling will get appealed to the US Supreme Court where it will be overturned if the 9th Circuit ruling finds the executive order unconstitutional.

There is a reason that the 9th Circuit is commonly referred to as the "9th Circus Court" and that the 9th Circuit is the most overturned court in the US (86% of all rulings appealed to the USSC in 2012 from the 9th Circuit were overturned by the USSC when there was a Democrat in the White House and the USSC was considered to only barely lean conservative).

Once Gorsuch is confirmed to the USSC, do you really believe whats going on in CA is really going to stand up to the USSC's scrutiny?

Exactly right! The moron AG's like the one here in WA, Ferguson a real libtard, don't seem to understand a couple of things. Folks outside the US who are NOT citizens have NO rights as Americans. Further they seem to be more interested in convenience than law. They keep throwing out things like "gee whiz, Amazon wont be able to hire people if they cant come here to work". Or " people cant come to visit their grandkids" TOUGH COOKIES! Get a VISA ahead of time or stay home. Or pay for your grandkids to come see you in some hell hole. As if somehow that was a reason to usurp the legal authority of the President who btw has sole authority to do this. And its NOT a Muslim ban, its a security measure to try to keep terrorists out of our country to protect the sorry ungrateful butts of those who whine and piss and moan about a Muslim ban!! If it was a Muslim ban Saudi Arabia and Indonesia would be on the list, but they're not are they?! Wise up Clueless.

Trump didn't have the balls to appeal the Ninth Circuit's decision to the US Supreme Court, so all those predictions are for naught.

I myself thought the latest EO was probably constitutional, but I haven't read this Hawaii judge's decision. But it is interesting that Saudi, the home of most of the 9/11 hijackers, isn't on the list.

Still waiting to hear what promises Trump has kept. Aside from trying to ban Muslims, or at least, finally, some sliver of the world's Muslim population, whatever the courts will finally let him ban.

Well he will this time, now that he has his own newly minted AG, Jeff Sessions in charge and they have already said they will pursue this. Don't forget next week or so the hearing for our new SCOTUS Judge Gorsuch will begin and he will soon be seated on the high court to help offset the loony toons placed there by Obama! In the end, Trump will prevail on this, he has the law on his side unlike the lower courts which so far have only used emotion to make their rulings. Just about every big name lawyer around including Alan Dershowitz, no friend of Trump has said, Trump has the law on his side. Another liberal law professor Jonathan Turley said the same today about the Hawaii judge. He said he doesn't see how his restraining order stands, there being no precedent for the ruling. Trump is not a patient man but I believe he will hang in there this time and see these rulings knocked down. This will all be a bad memory for the left in due time, hope you enjoy it as much then as you seem to now, living in a dream world where Trump is not President, LOL.

Trump hasnt appealed YET. It would be foolish to do so before a new conservative justice is appointed to the USSC. That doesnt mean an appeal will not be made.

The court simply refused the requested stay order in Feb. There is a HUGE difference.

Regarding promises.. He has been in office less than 2 months.. and has made initial moves on multiple promises.. How about you wait a few months longer and lets revisit..

Im relying on facts and the opinions of multiple attorneys and a couple of judges I have spoken to, to predict the outcome of legal action.

You have a point. Trump should be given a fair chance to break his campaign promises, just like every other president.
