SOUTH AFRICA: Cape Buffalo Hunt West Of Kruger

Leadwood is about 12k acres...if that's where you were with Dieter. There is no internal fencing there...just borders and it's not noticeable or a hindrance to good hunting.

I haven't seen any area in S.A. that's not fenced in some fashion. That said, I now accept the fact that hunting a [i.e. 10,000 acre] high-fenced property is free-roaming and the animals have the same advantage as in "no-fence" property, if there is such. Even Greater Kruger's vast 8,000 sq. mi. area has exterior fencing. My thoughts and hunt criteria...
There are a lot of free range areas in SA but operators does not like hunting them because of low success rates or permit issues.
This morning I drove from Franshoek to Beaufort West and drive trough millions of acres low fence areas some very mountainous challenging terrain.
Congratulations on your buff it’s always a fun hunt.
