I should mention that when I went to board my EWR-LAS flight, the gate agent told me that I had a seat change. I was going from 10C to 7E (bulkhead middle). Seriously? You cancel my flight, lose my bag and now you take a seat from me that I paid for in January? I texted Jenn and told her. "These MFers have no shame". They did get me an aisle, but it's the principle.
And what of my suitcase, you may ask? I arrived home on a Saturday afternoon. On Monday evening, I left a message for United Baggage Service at LAS. The next morning when I was in court, I received a call from a nice lady who told me she was looking at my suitcase and wanted to verify the address for it to be delivered. I told her that I would come by and pick it up later in the day. The poor thing had already been through so much and I wasn't losing Big Blue to a porch pirate.
I left work a bit early and went to Terminal 3.
I was thankful that my ammo box wasn't destroyed. I'll credit that to using the TSA locks. I reorganized my suitcase and added the UA boots I bought and it will stay packed for my next hunt.
I had brought Slap Ya Mama and Frank's Red Hot as a gift to the lodge. I do this on every hunt. When the farm owner was trying to track down my bag when we believed it was at JNB, the Swissport person asked her what was in it. She said "Slap Ya Mama". The customer service rep replied "Slap your mama!"
Be safe out there, everyone.
