I posted this on the politics forum:

%90+ of the private land is owned by whites along with %90+ of the total wealth in RSA.
There's no illegal land grab going on and a white majority party is in the ruling coalition.
There are a lot more serious issues RSA is facing such as %40 unemployment and crime.
I spent more than 3 months in RSA and talked and spent time with a lot of people.
Having said that I would like to hear from South African whites as well.

There is a lot of factual incorrectness here.... Pretty much everything in your first 2 sentences is egregiously inaccurate.
Almost sounds like MSM propaganda, which I presume was not your intention in contributing to this thread.

The Tucker Carlson interview with Ernst Roets is a must-watch if you want to enlighten yourself on current SA affairs through an Afrikaner's eyes.

What nonsense, there are no riots, the country is in a far better condition than the USA. No single landowner has yet been expropriated without compensation. Countless tourists visit South Africa, they wouldn't do it if the country would just sink into chaos. In the USA, the number of visitors is decreasing, but who is surprised about this.

Bad stories about South Africa are spread by radicals in both South Africa and the United States, with the latter government having a large share. As is well known, the concentration of liars in the US government is particularly high...

Hopefully RSA can recover. It isn’t the first time that racial appropriation/genocide has been witnessed in Africa even within the last 50 years. Western countries should be thankful for the peace we experience.

If you already have all the information you need, then there's no need to listen to another's viewpoint and you can form your opinions accordingly, with my congratulations.

I can and will learn from just about anyone, as many know more than I do on various subjects, including this one. I learned a lot from hearing Mr. Roets, and he seems very well informed and level headed to me. Mr. Carlson is simply an interviewer in this case; he does inject some of his own observations but it is Mr. Roets who is the local Afrikaner with valuable insight here.

Not sure where you are getting this info. They had violent riots in 2022 and again in 2023. People dead, trucks burned, etc. There's videos online if you care to look.

I can't speak to the expropriation but when you talk to the landowners there...they are not happy. You can start with the rolling brownouts because the money for electrical infrastructure is being siphoned off into the pockets of the politicians.

From two Outfitters I am familiar with, they are not plannig to sell their land, but are not buying any more either.

They are increasing the area they hunt by leasing land they are offered to buy.

It's easy to explain - I live in South Africa. As is well known, we have a high level of crime, unfortunately, but it is no different in many areas around the world.

Unlike America, the "gun control" in Africa would make it almost impossible to mount a defensive against the government.


In America, the 2nd Amendment to our constitution says that "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed"


Our Constitution constrains our government.

It doesn't constrain Citizens.

You’re right about our Constitution, but while gun prohibition may be the case in some African countries, it’s not the case in SA! Lots of people with Glocks and S&Ws in their trucks or on their hips. The issue for white South Africans is simply numbers. They are a small minority in their own country.
