Great report. Congratulations on taking some really nice trophies as well. KMG puts on a good hunt.
Hi MTA............despite all my trips to Africa, I have yet to make it to the Eastern Cape.......still hope to..............awaiting more info and hope to hear more from you soon........also hope to see one of those recovered Barnes LRX bullets!.......FWB
I was so tired from the travel that I didnt even think to submit a claim. Most of my travel in my life has been in the military or in a car so I didnt even think to look into claiming it. I chock it up to another life lesson learnedWow, WTF with the case? Did you file a claim with the airline? I would, that is not a cheap case.
Adding insult to injury! Honestly, the airline workers for Delta at DFW looked like they just discovered fire last week so I don't think I would have gotten anywhere. In 2017 I had my Pelican arrive in Calgary with a hole in the end. Knocked the plastic piece inside the case. Possibly a forklift? It was KLM (Swiss Air). It took a lot of time and fighting to get paid for my case. Then they sent the check in US funds! LOL.
USMC and just 4 years for me. If I did 34 years in the Corps, Id come out looking father time! You did the smart choice. I always loved when Id get sent to Kadena on Okinawa. What branch? Thank you for your service!
Retired AF, after 34 years, 9 months & 28 days. Now working as a GS employee.
I noticed thag my pelican case was cracked but still functional. Big wtf on that one. With rifle in hand I was finally done with traveling other than a 1.5 hour drive. I was very thankful for the safe travel back home!
Yep everything was fine. This is a 1750 which is part of the protector series. Im assuming it was dropped from a considerable distance or at an odd angleThat looks bad. I sure hope that all your guns and gear came through unharmed!
Pelican makes several versions of its cases (e.g., Storm, Protector, Vault, etc.). Which one was this?
Yea I need to give them a call, thank you for the reminderGlad to hear that the gear came through unharmed.
Just a thought, but I wonder whether Pelican would replace it under their "Limited Lifetime Warranty" coverage? It might be worth your while to ask.
