Mr Kay, I'm glad he got his SHEEP ! Let him know I'm so happy for him. I look forward to doing it for him and I hope and pray he is doing a Life-size Mount. It would be great ! Thanks

I have just finished hunting with Kay last week with two Ibexes, 45.3" and 45.8". Unfortunately my hunt was a bit short as I had to spend New Year Holiday in Turkey with my family prior to this hunt. We did not see any MP as there moved away from the heavy snow storm. It was around -20 F in the day time without wind, way to cold for me. Plus we could not hunt for three days due to gusty strong wind and heavy snow storm. Arpa-Marco Polo Hunting Services Company is a family owned business, honest and hard working people. Kay is a very good man. I had a warm welcome lunch at Kay house on the way to the hunting camp. Kay's wife and sister are great cook. They took great care of me since the first minute I arrived till the end. The mountains, the view and the scenery are unbelievable. This is the most thrilling, the most extreme and the most dangerous hunt for me. The experiences were overwhelmed though. It has made Africa seems very soft to me. I will return there as soon as I can.

I'm glad you had a great hunt!!!

Dennis,

Do you have a good shipping /logistic agent? I need someone to shoulder mount the two ibexes I shot in Kyrgzstan. So I need a good shipping agent to handle all temporary import/export paperwork and customs formality to import and ship them back to me need in Thailand once done.

Thanks.

Yes Stan, I can handle this for you. I have 2 import export brokers I deal with every month with inbound shipments and they are great! Have Mr Kay send the Ibex with all the paperwork. I do exceptional work the best there is. I am sending sent you a PM with all my broker info. I would like to do these for you and Mr Kay knows my work and reputation.

Best of luck Dennis! I am jealous!! LOL

Out of curiosity what are the hunts offered for 2016-2017. I was planning on trying to do africa again around 2017 but.... After reading this post a ibex hunt may very well be a option for me. I always thought the ibex hunts were extremely expensive but this doesn't appear to be the case. I would like some additional info if possible. Thanks

Stan the Man...................awesome photos and great looking trophies. Mid Asian Ibex are about the best dollar value when it comes to adventure factor. And you did well. Plus....who could object to "being stuck" in Istanbul for a few days? Congrats...................................FWB

Congratulations on two fine ibex Stan!

-20F is too cold for any of us.

All the best.

Missed this one. I think it deserves to be in a hunting report thread on its own.

Congratulations Stan.

Gorgeous country to be hunting in.

Great ibex. Congrats. No shame in not getting a MP. It just happens. Bruce

Im currently planning a trip for one of the sub-species of Spanish Ibex. Looks like this one could next!

A friend just hunted with Kai and took a great Marco Polo and Ibex. I will ask him if he minds if I post some pics. Ibex 44" MP heavy and broomed at 53 1/4" with 16 1/2" bases! Only took him 4 days to get them.

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!

Hello. If you haven't already sold this rifle then I will purchase. Please advise. Thank you.

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
